"The communication about the layout of the property could have been better. There is no internal access to the downstairs rooms. There is no WIFI - in this day and age - you really should have WIFI (especially for when the weather is inclement in Golden Bay - which is often is). The TV is just a screen to play DVD's - there is no channel service. We weren't told you can't drink the water until the morning we got the check-in instructions - it was Easter Friday - so we couldn't buy bottled water. All in all a disappointing stay."

"We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. "
