"We arrived during a rain storm. After the check in, we found that our apartment was leaking water through the roof. After a phone call with the host, we were transferred to another apartment, which was also flooded. Finally, a third apartment was dry enough, but it was really run down and without WiFi (very important to us). After agreeing to stay there for a week until an adequate apartment was free, we were again transferred to a 4th apartment, which was nicely furnished, but had black mold on...

"Very spacious, well equipped and beautifully decorated apartment in a superb location in a quiet residential area just 5minutes walk from the centre of Alvor. The small condominium is beautifully maintained and mainly occupied by long term residents making it a very quiet and safe oasis. Communication with Sandra the owner is excellent. "great apartment with all the amenities and comfortable beds. Right in the heart of old town. We were off a bit so that it was very quiet for sleeping but really enjoyed the area. Wish the weather was a bit better but we still go out and toured around. Would recommend this property."

"The host was very welcoming initially but unfortunately this did not last long. On the first night's stay, coming back, the host sleeping at the front door is not what I expect during my holidays. And this was only the start, there was a constant feeling of being monitored around the apartment, with odd incidences and requests from the host that intruded upon my personal boundaries. I feel boundaries were overstepped too much."

"O hotel é muito bem localizado, muito embora não tenha estacionamento próprio, há vagas gratuitas em frente. Recepção solicita e eficiente. Café da manhã delicioso, com vários itens sempre frescos, frutas, pães, e frios. Quarto com varanda, chuveiro potente, cama confortável,e roupas de cama e banho novas e perfumadas. Fui por recomendação do meu filho e nora, e eu mesma recomendo a estadia no CARVI."
