The apartment was as described and neat and clean. There were a few items that I would suggest they improve, but overall, we were pleased.
- There was no duvet for the couch. (Luckily it was VERY hot and my son didn't need one.)
- The entrance lobby and hallway outside the apartment were pitch dark. We figured out eventually where the light switches are, but when you come in at night the first time and it's completely dark, it's a bit strange.
- We got locked in the apartment for a few hours. This wasn't their fault, obviously, though it was a set back to our day. The important thing here was that the man we spoke with about it was incredibly kind and helpful. They did send a locksmith.
- I appreciate that they want to keep the check-in process safe, but I've never had to walk a couple of blocks to the lock box for the entrance key. It felt a bit convoluted, and then I couldn't get it open for about 10 minutes. Eventually it opened, and I don't know why it wasn't at first - I didn't do anything differently, but it was unnerving. And I tried to call the place but it was Sunday and closed. I left a message hoping they would call back, but eventually got it open, and called back to say I got it and no call was necessary.
As I mentioned, none of those were game changers, just small inconveniences to note. The overall experience was positive, and we loved our stay in Montmartre, so thank you.
