Property description/photos do not accurately depict the studio apartment. Apt much smaller and darker than in photos and had an old, musty smell. The "bedroom" was a loft that you could not stand up in. The stairs to the loft was more like a ladder, the bathroom was located in a small closet behind the kitchenette. The interior of the building was not lighted well. The street to the Apt was barricaded off by heavily armed police. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe in the building/apt. Absolutely terrible customer service provided by Pick a Flat (PAF) - Neglected to provide the Access Code to the building (2 security doors before you can access the apt.) so I was locked out of the building and had to call PAF for the codes. Car transport service arranged through PAF failed to pick me up at the airport and I had to take a taxi. PAF refused to refund the 19 euro deposit for the car service despite my repeated requests and proof by an email from PAF that the original date had been moved up a day. Also, PAF did not disclose that a 300 euro security deposit was due until final payment was due. I booked this apt in part bc I believed that having a property manager (PAF) would ensure things would be handled well, but it was the opposite. I booked the apt for 5 nights but left without spending 1 night. I asked for at least a partial refund of the rent but was denied. I am writing this review so that others may beware and informed about an actual rental experience here.
