The hotel is in a fantastic location. The room was beautifully newly refurbished and refurbishment of the entire hotel was still in progress (looks like it will be completed very soon) and they have done an excellent job with the details. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

Massive renovations

When we arrived we where informed that the hotel was under massive renovations and the bottom 2 floors where totally gutted and stuff layed about everywhere. Work started at about 8 in the morning so we didnt really get a sleep in as sanding and drilling started straight away. Couldnt open the window because of scaffolding outside with workers on and dust would get in. Hotel room was lovely but alot of dust about because works. Staff are lovely but we need to be informed beforehand that this was the case

- there was an ongoing renovation during our stay that we weren't told about - no air conditioner available for the whole duration of our stay - the toilet stinks so bad.. like a rotten mouse - the breakfast isn't really a buffet/ unlimited - the lift was so tiny.. can only fit two people or a person and a luggage - no toilet by the reception - only one good thing, the young receptionist who welcomed us was very polite and accommodating!

I’ve booked many holidays through Expedia and have usually been very satisfied, but unfortunately our stay at Hotel Brittany Opéra in Paris was disappointing. Breakfast was included in our booking, but when we arrived we were told it would not be provided at all due to building works. This was only communicated at check-in, despite breakfast being one of the reasons we booked. The refund for the breakfasts was processed by Expedia, not the hotel, who failed to take responsibility. Our room on the 7th floor had scaffolding immediately outside the window, with workers present. We had to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The building works caused loud hammering and drilling, starting as early as 8:30am and continuing until after 9:30pm. We complained to Reception, but the noise continued for another 20 minutes that night and resumed early the next morning. The location is convenient and the room itself was fine (if a little cramped), but the lack of transparency about the scale and timing of works, plus the removal of breakfast without advance warning, made this stay very disappointing.

The hotel is in an amazing location, with a lot of restaurants around it and accessible transportation. I reckon I walked most places as it is that well located, and I will definitely come back for my next trip to Paris. The staff was lovely, the rooms were perfect for a short stay (small, but with the bathroom/shower separate, which has become rare for this price in Paris). Overall I would totally recommend.

Beautiful place to end our vacation

Lots of character in this hotel. The room is tight but my girlfriend loved its eccentric vibe. The toilet is tight against the shower, but otherwise the bathroom is great. There was a nice little balcony that was very nice as well. The only cons were the mattress was a little worn out and there was no fridge. The area around the hotel was amazing for restaurants - so many great options and each one a very unique cuisine and style.

We found this place unexpectedly, and what a treat!!! The staff is so kind, we felt very welcome. It is definitely worth buying the breakfast buffet!!! The TV only has French options mostly but who is in Paris to watch TV!? The decor was beautiful and the new bar was lovely. The area was very alive, great for those looking for some good nights out. Try the Chinese food place Qiao Jiang Nan, about a 10 minute walk :) Overall lovely, and we thank them for a great experience

Disappointing Stay – No Warning About Major Constr

When we first arrived at the hotel, check-in was easy—we were able to drop off our suitcases since we arrived at 11 a.m. and check-in wasn’t until 3 p.m. That part went smoothly. However, I really needed to use the toilet downstairs and was told I couldn’t because it was under construction. There was absolutely no mention on the website that the hotel would be undergoing renovations. The entire front of the building was covered in scaffolding, blocking all balconies. We couldn’t see anything outside, and when we got to our room later that day, we found dirty socks left on the balcony. The area was dusty and completely unusable due to the construction. To add to the disappointment, the bar and bar area were also under construction, so we couldn’t use or enjoy any of those facilities either. Again, none of this was communicated beforehand—no warning on the website, no email, nothing. On top of everything, the room itself was incredibly small—like, very, very small. It felt cramped and uncomfortable, especially considering we expected a relaxing stay. Had we known about the construction and the tiny room, we would have definitely chosen a different hotel. The lack of transparency really ruined the experience.

Fantastic service, 10000% recommend

Like all Paris hotels, the space was small. The bathroom was a bit tricky too as the toilet was right by the door so we had to sit at an angle. Aside from these minor inconveniences, our 9 day stay was great. The staff were all so helpful and even went above and beyond to decorate our room on the day of our anniversary! That was super sweet of them and it really made the trip memorable for us.

Wow our stay here was incredible! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Everyone in the hotel spoke English which was not expected but definitely a plus. The location was great, very close to metro. I forgot to book an extra day and they were expecting my room for someone else, they called me very politely to tell me my things were still there and helped me find a new room somewhere else because they were fully booked for the night. They even accommodated transportation offering various routes, helped me gather my items. The bartender Amelie was also so friendly and helpful during our stay, she got us a reservation to a restaurant that was fully booked. She gave us tips on places to visit and helped me figure out the metro (I had never used the metro before) all while serving delicious cocktails! I will definitely return to this hotel. 10/10 recommend!

For a short, inexpensive stay in Paris this is a good hotel. The cleanliness could have been better and this is a budget hotel; it is a bit rough around the edges. Our bed was very firm but comfortable enough. They provided a fan which was needed during an unseasonal heatwave. The location is good but a bit noisy if you’re on the street side of the hotel as there’s a few restaurants opposite. It’s an hours walk down to the river and main attractions but right by a metro station which was handy. The lady on reception is wonderful, incredibly helpful and speaks excellent English which was great as our French is lacking! She is very knowledgeable and gave great guidance for a few queries we had. We enjoyed our stay and felt we had good value for money.

Easy to find, lovely welcome from David on reception and all staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Beautiful clean room with L’Occataine toiletries and fresh water daily. Breakfast well worth 14E. Bed was comfortable and we felt safe throughout our stay with our lovely comfy room to come back to. Nice places to eat locally but no so much with a fussy teenager!! We managed to travel around easily on foot and by Metro and had a wonderful trip many thanks to Brittany hotel!
