Comfortable gem in central Paris

I really enjoyed the location. Much quieter that other locations I've stayed in on both the Left and Right banks. Some of the fixtures in the room did not work properly. The wall lights kept blinking rapidly.Turning the light on and off didn't solve it, so the lights had to be turned off.

Charming hotel in an amazing neighborhood, front desk staff very helpful and accommodating, rooms are Paris-typically small but have almost everything you need. A 4-star hotel should provide a hair conditioner in the room, which this hotel does not (front desk staff told me that “we usually do not provide conditioner”), but were kind enough to provide us with a conditioning shampoo. Room cleaning staff provided spotty service in that they did not always place in the room coffee packets, sugar or creamer, but being able to make coffee in the room was nice.

I was very comfortable in the room tho i had to keep the window open as it was so warm in the hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the blackout curtain helped me to get good rest, as I could have the curtain down even with the window open. The shower was fine, tho the ceiling was very low and if I were very tall i would not have been comfortable in the shower. The reception staff was very friendly and able to help with any questions or problems. Breakfast was fine and pretty well rounded with hot foods (scrambled eggs & pancakes); soft-boiled eggs; baguette and croissant; cheeses and meats; yogurts and fruit.

Good for a local experience.

Excellent location to stay in quiet area in St. Louis. The subway is a few blocks away, which could be an issue if you go in winter, like us. But very close to Notre Dame, the river, and good local restaurants. We got a duplex room (two story) which was good. It had a bathroom in each floor. The condition of the bathrooms was fair. The showers are small for a 6' person. The lobby is cozy and the service really good. I think the price may be a bit much for winter time and lake of hotel amenities. But overall does the job. We stayed 3 nights.

A Wonderful Hotel

I love this hotel! The building was built in the 1600’s. The staff was wonderful, the hotel was warm and inviting, and the resident puppy was fun to play with! Who doesn’t love a puppy! The lobby was very inviting to just have a respite and view the books and the art. We didn’t have breakfast there, but the buffet looked very good. We’ll be back!

Old and tired

Staff is wonderful. Bathroom had a very bad musky smell. The bed was uncomfortable. The flushing mechanism on the toilet did not work well. The breakfast was passable.
