Lovely boutique hotel. Clean with enough space (although we just had carryon size bags). Appreciated the air conditioning and elevator. Nice showers and good breakfast. Friendly staff Close to botanical gardens and surrounding museums, a short walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Hotel Orphée was in a great location, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We had an early train from Gare d’Austerlitz and it was a short walk from the hotel. Our flight came in early in the morning and we arrived at the hotel at 10am. We were able to get a room immediately, for a very reasonable charge of 25 euros, which was really appreciated after a long overnight flight. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. Comfortable bed. We left too early to take advantage of breakfast, but appreciated the Nespresso machine in our room. During our short stay, we enjoyed strolling around the Jardin des Plantes and walking along the Seine, both of which are very close to the hotel. Would be happy to stay here again

A great hotel in Paris with excellent location, just a short walk from the RER and the Metro. The room was very cozy, with super comfortable bed and pillows. The shower was also great! The bedroom space is a bit limited, but not an issue for me at all. The only thing I missed was a minibar, since it was quite hot in the city during my stay, and having cold drinks available would have been nice. The hotel staff was also super friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend!

The pros - Well situated for metro line 5 at Saint-Marcel or to get to Gare Austerlitz or Gare de Lyon (perfect for RER line A to Disneyland!) - Good price - Spacious room - Minimal noise issues (was initially concerned as I was given a room right next to reception facing the street but I had no problems whatsoever with noise) The cons - Upon arrival I discovered the safe in my room had been locked by the previous guest. Reception staff were already aware of this and when I raised it with them they said they were waiting on a replacement safe. Would have expected them to have a master key or manager's code to be able to open the safe, as is standard in most hotel settings? - I had booked through Expedia and the receptionist that checked me in said that I wasn't booked in for breakfast even though it was on my booking receipt from Expedia. The receptionist's response when I challenged this was "we'll give it to you this time as a gesture of goodwill" - Would have been nice to see a couple more options for breakfast, although I suspect this is limited about the amount of space for dining as it's served in the basement and doesn't seat more than approx. 20 guests at a time.

The hotel is located in a fairly busy area but it's pretty quiet inside. The room was small but very comfortable, nicely decorated and clean. A buffet breakfast was served in stylish, modern room, and had a good choice of items, including healthy options. We are vegan & managed ok. The staff were absolutely lovely & very helpful.

We had a lovely stay here. Staff were welcoming and friendly which really helped improve our stay. This hotel is a little far away from many of the main attractions in Paris but we found that we could get everywhere we needed using the metro.

Great Stay!

Pauline checked us in and she was very helpful and kind. Pauline was able to get our room ready prior to it being fully ready as she understood we wanted to change before exploring the city. All staff were very professional and helpful throughout our stay. Bed was comfortable. Location was great - very easy walk to a nearby park and across the road from a metro.

The hotel is located a short walk from Saint-Marcel metro station on Metro line 5, so it's convenient for Gare d'Austerlitz and Gare de Lyon stations on foot, and Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est by Metro. The hotel overlooks a busy street but our room on the top (6th floor) was quiet. The hotel is well situated in an area with several restaurants and a short walk from the Natural History Museum with it's gardens and zoo (Menagerie). The hotel room was clean and well presented. There is a small dining area located in the basement where a good continental breakfast is available. Staff were friendly and spoke good English.

Brilliant hotel!

Loved my room. Perfect size for one person. The en-suite was very cleverly designed but definitely not suited to plus-sized people - the door to the shower was about 35cm! Bed comfortable, windows opened fully, air conditioning worked, quiet hotel though on a busy street but I love this & the windows shut out a lot of the noise. Location was perfect - not far at all from metro stops & Jardin du plantes! X

We absolutely loved this beautiful and quaint hotel. Our room was big enough for the both of us and the bathroom was beautiful. Staff was amazing and so accommodating. We arrive early and they stored our bags while we started our sightseeing. They upgraded us to a room with a balcony, no extra charge. They also stored our bags on the day we checked out, so that we can continue to sighsee before our train ride home. They area has plenty of restaurants and we were only a 2-min walk from the metro. Just a perfect hotel and stay for us! Thank you!!!

Wonderful, restful sleep with fantastic linens!

This hotel was very convenient for us as we only stayed two nights and had to take a train from Gare D'Austerlitz which is within easy waling distance. It is also very close to a Monoprix supermarket and two metro stops. There are multiple restaurants within walking distance and also a pharmacy. We didn't have breakfast so cannot speak to the offerings or value for money. The bed linens and pillows were amazing quality and helped us to get a really good night's sleep. The drinks (such as coffee) offered at the front desk are quite expensive and unusual to not find coffee provided for free. Can recommend a walk around les Jardin des Plantes. So beautiful!
