I will come back here every time I stay in Paris. The service at the front desk was excellent, especially a woman named Doa! She went out of her way to answer questions and be of excellent service. The breakfasts were phenomenal, the rooms were charming and typical Parisian.. The location is excellent in the Latin quarter. Right near The pantheon and Sorbonne. It’s very walkable and in a safe area also. I highly recommend this hotel. Oh yes, and the spa services were excellent, especially after a long day of walking.

Lovely hotel, very centrally located with reasonably-sized rooms and modern bathroom facilities. Excellent breakfast, though the menu is the same every day. Be aware that the AC is centrally controlled, and depending on the external temperature, it may be deactivated in the entire building and the concierges may not be able to change this. One extremely helpful concierge was able to get my wife and me a fan from another property; otherwise, it may have been difficult to sleep. Unfortunately, another less-helpful concierge told us that it was "cool for Paris" and that they wouldn't be able to help us. Be forewarned of this if you prefer a cold room. The windows do open, however.

This hotel is five star for its price range and location next to Sorbonne in Latin Quarter. Typically, rooms are small but sufficient and well decorated. Staff lady was friendly at check in and upgraded me when she saw I had a walking disability. Breakfast was good and sufficient. So on this price range, this is a fair value.

Very conveniently located, as we could walk to the Notre Dame, and Le Marias- the 2 areas in our brief stay, that we planned on visiting. The rooms were very French traditional, which I enjoyed. It was like staying in an old mansion. Rooms were clean, and bathroom was large. Easy check in and out, with nice staff. Breakfast was good. I would recommend this hotel.

Perfect Christmas Stay

My husband and I stayed at Hôtel Saint Jacques over Christmas. It was our second time staying at the hotel and we found it again to be fabulous. Friendly and helpful staff, great spa, excellent room. No complaints, just a lot of happy memories made.

Staff were very friendly. The room was clean (and larger than I expected - I booked a single but was upgraded to a double) and the location was fantastic for walking to many Latin Quarter sights, and relatively easy public transportation to some monuments and museums. There are a few good restaurants within one block of the hotel, which is super convenient if you're out all day and come back tired and hungry and want a good meal to top off the day.

Charming, quaint hotel in a nice, safe neighborhood. Each room is decorated differently. NOT a cookie cutter chain hotel. Rooms are small but that is common in France. Walking distance to Notre Dame, close to the metro to get to other tourist attractions. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfast buffet is delicious (cold meats, large assortment of cheeses, super sweet fruit). Server is friendly and makes great cappuccinos. Highly recommend this hotel.

My mother, daughter and I recently traveled to Paris and stayed at this beautiful property. Staying at St. Jacques was one of our favorite parts of our trip. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind and our bedroom was both beautiful and comfortable. The hotel itself is incredibly convenient to sites, shops, and restaurants. The neighborhood is very safe. We highly recommend this beautiful property!

Lovely little hotel. Well located. Near a Metro stop. Friendly and helpful staff. My room had a wonderful balcony (with a small table and chairs) and a view of Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Extensive breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay there again.

Great hotel near all major sightseeing

The hotel is very nice and very central near all the sightseeing spots. All major sightseeings are close by such as Seine River, Louvre Museum, Sainte Chapelle, Pantheon, Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame. The other sites such as War Museum, Champs-Elysées, Arc de Triumph are easily accessible by foot, metro or buses that are within blocks away from the hotel. There are several restaurants and bars walking distance as well. The personnel is very nice and attentive. The rooms are a bit small and so is the bathtub. There’s a spa with saunas and all season shower included in the daily rates.

Hotel was quaint, hotel staff were very nice & it was centrally located in the Latin Quarter. However, our room definitely did not resemble the advertised picture. Mattress was hard and the bedding was uncomfortable. Bring a comfortable blanket if you choose this hotel. Additionally, it was uncomfortable having to ring the bell to gain access to the hotel when the clerk was not at the front desk which was daily. Overall rating is 3.

Although the hotel was quaint & provides the Paris vibe you would expect from an older hotel. Safety was a huge concern for my friend and I. The keys are left in cubbies behind the desk which is not properly attended. one day we were given the wrong key # - giving us access to someone else's room. I realized his mistake, and brought the key back. Two times we went to return our key before leaving and no one was at the desk. A guy came in while we were standing there and retrieved a key- was it his? or someone else's. We brought this up with the attendant, and she said "we have to leave to go to the bathroom." Which means, anyone can come in off the street, take your room key while the attendant is using the bathroom. If safety is important to you, then I would not recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful, old building that has been modernized. The lobby is small but very well decorated. The staff are absolutely fabulous and will go above and beyond to help in any way they can. The hotel is well located in the Latin Quarter with many bars and restaurants close by. It is also very close to the Metro, Notre Dame and the Pantheon. Overall, our stay was fantastic. The only reason I am marking the hotel down a little is due to the room. The room was exceptionally clean but very small. In a European City, I would expect the room to be small so this wasn't a problem. However, there was no drawers in the room at all. There was a wardrobe with 6 hangers in it. For a week for 2 people, that doesn't give much space for clothes. Also, the wardrobe was so close to the end of the bed, you couldn't really get past it to get to the bathroom or out of the room. The other issue with the room was the bathroom. Again, it was small but very clean and modern. The shower, which had plenty of hot water and great water pressure, was inside the very high bathtub. Anyone with mobility issues would not be able to get in and out of this bath. Also, there was no grab rails so stepping out of the shower was rather treacherous as the water always came out of the shower onto the tiled floor making it extremely slippery. Overall, my husband and I loved our stay here but there are just a couple of things that need attention.
