Very pleasant stay in this hotel, in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature. Quality produits in the bathroom, great restaurant on site and the spa. The staff was very polite and thoughtful with a special attention for my birthday. I would highly recommend for a stay close to Paris without the stress of the city

Very impressive hotel

Some aspects of this hotel are 5-star. Excellent location for visiting Versailles, yet enjoying the tranquility around the ponds, while the grounds of the hotel made for a relaxing stay. Some staff were really excellent and went out their way to assist. Breakfast was excellent but evening meal was sligjtly disappointing

Very peaceful place! Nice walks around the ponds and in the woods behind the hotel. Close enough to Versailles to take advantage of the sights, if you wish. Far enough away to be very quiet. Our room was really beautiful and comfortable. The outdoor terrace is a great place for breakfast or a coffee. The bar was a nice spot for a glass of champagne. And we had a fabulous meal at Le Corot, the starred restaurant in the hotel. Go here if you want peace and quiet in a sophisticated environment. Don't go if you want the energy of Paris proper.

Delightful hotel

We stayed overnight with our son and daughter as our daughter had a flight booked from CDG the next day. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large and clean and good value for money. We ate in the Café des Artistes and the food was excellent. The restaurant leads out to a pretty terrace with drinking area overlooking the lakes. There is underground parking but also a public car park across the road. This is a great hotel, close to Versailles and Paris, but without the hustle and bustle.

Just lovely

A perfect respite from the urban pace of Paris. Walk for hours in the beautiful woods surrounding the hotel; eat in the outstanding, Michelin-starred restaurant; look out over the ponds that Corot painted.

Très décevant. Malheureusement, nous sommes allés de déception en déception. À l’arrivée, l’accueil a été quasi inexistant et la chambre était très sombre, nous avons pu en obtenir une autre un peu moins triste mais toujours sombre . La chambre est mal agencée et peu fonctionnelle. La salle de bain manque de praticité : robinetterie mal entretenue, miroir trop éloigné du lavabo, éclairage mal pensé et toilettes très basses. Aucune information utile n’était disponible en chambre sur les services de l’hôtel, le spa, le bar ou les restaurants. Au Bistrot des Artistes, l’expérience n’a pas été meilleure : mobilier inconfortable, table bancale, chaise abîmée et service expéditif et sans attention. La tenue désinvolte et peu soignée des serveurs tant au bar qu’au restaurant donne tout de suite le ton…2 plats manquaient à la carte, mais nous ne l’avons appris qu’après avoir fait notre choix. Il a même fallu réclamer pour commander apéritif et vin. Le plus surprenant reste l’appel de la réception à 0 h 30 pour demander notre heure d’arrivée… alors que nous étions déjà dans la chambre. Le lendemain, nous avons signalé notre insatisfaction à la réception qui remontera à la direction (vu le peu d’intérêt porté au client, je doute fort que ce soit fait ou que cela ait un écho). Nous repartons très déçus et ne renouvellerons pas l’expérience. Nous ne recommandons pas cet établissement, qui n’est pas du tout à la hauteur des standards d’un Relais & Châteaux.

Séjour incroyable et hors du temps. Le personnel est d’une gentillesse et d’une amabilité rares. Le Corot est une merveille, le dîner de la guinguette est un pure bonheur, et le petit déjeuner est d’une grande qualité sans superflus. La suite Barbizon avec ses deux espaces est très confortable, et la vue sur le lac est époustouflante
