Very comfortable bed and clean room plus nice lounge & bar area in reception. Staff were all very welcoming, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was very good with a large selection of yogurts, cereals, delicious pastries, eggs, bacon & breads etc.

Our room was small but well organized and very clean. The personnel were friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the neighborhood contains some rough spots, especially at the nearest metro entrance. This limited evening activities. One of our party had a neck chain snatched right in front of the hotel entry. While the chain was recovered, the experience marred a fine stay.

Great cosy hotel in Paris

This is an excellent hotell with a friendly and serviceminded staff. Great breakfast. Close to a metro station. Just a fee blocks away there’s a nice area with restaurants, artisan bakerys, cool shops and cafés. Extra plus for the small but efficient gym. We loved this hotel and will for sure be back.

Albeit staff members were really friendly and overall the hotel was of good standard, my room with terrace was extremely small, there was no kettle, coffee, tea and the lighting in the room was very poor, clearly to save energy but made me really depressed.

This hotel is NOT a 4 star hotel. The view from the so-called "superior" rooms are horrible. We left the property after 5 minutes and booked another hotel room, in Luxembourg. The 3 star hotel had more amenities than in this one. The picture on Expedia were not accurate and the neighborhood is unsafe.

If you are looking for a hotel with the convenience of Gare Du Nord train station, and the only thing you’re gonna do is sleep there while you go off and explore..well this is your place. If you’re looking at it as a hotel to lounge about and use and pop in frequently…..This area is not a very nice area to do that. It’s a bit over priced for that. Elevator broke while I was in it and was stuck for over an hour. Was offered no compensation for the extraordinary inconvenience. Staff was friendly. Area just too rough for a paris hotel stay.

Entrance area was lovely. Very warm and welcoming and beautifully decorated. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. Our room was fine, very basic. The bed was comfortable and clean but it was freezing cold. We just couldn’t get it to warm up, which wasn’t nice because my 2 year old had a really bad cold and cough. We didn’t use any other facilities as arrived late and checked out early. There was bottled water in the room but no coffee making facilities which was disappointing. Luckily the nice lady in reception gave me a cup of warm milk for my daughter :-)

Great hotel.

Arrived on the first day to less than impressive service at the front desk. Most staff very kind and helpful, but one or two could do with being a little more friendly or enthusiastic. Was met, initially, with blunt and lazy service at the front desk. However, from there the service only picked up. Other staff extremely kind, room cleaned well, was in top condition when we arrived in it, the air con is great. Could do with better advertisement for the Spa and Fitness Room as we were not aware of them before it was too late. Area around the hotel a little hectic, many on the street attempting to sell stuff to you with an urgent intensity which was a little off-putting, but if you ignore them you’ll generally be ok.

Perfection. Impressive.

Low-key, high-end, swank. Quiet hotel in a very lively area. Location couldn’t be more convenient. Thirty second walk to Metro 2 & 4, from Gar du Nord it’s a 4min drive or 10min walk. I could not ask for anything more than the above in Paris. Walk 6min in any direction and can be in +5 distinctly different neighborhoods. 7 min walk to Sacré-Cœur! This is also where you can see the panoramic view of Paris. I went twice. Room had plenty of space, big and comfortable mattress, hardwood floors, cool lighting options, new TV, and above average climate control. It was very warm in winter, even without having the heat turned on. The windows open for fresh air if you want, and the curtains close to be black-out. Cool staff, and they employ many. I’m from Texas and Florida, US. I loved it here.

I had a wonderful stay at Maison Barbes. It took me a lot of time to find a hotel and after going through all of the reviews, I decided to choose this one. I’m so glad I did! The staff was so kind and so helpful. Being American, I felt very welcomed. Shout out to Dina. Her hospitality really made all the difference for my stay. The rooms were very clean. Daily room cleaning service was provided and I had everything I needed. The hotel room was small but it was just me and I was barely in it. It was perfect for this trip. If you’re used to a big city (I lived in NYC), then you will find the area very safe. I walked around at night and never had an issue. There were also a ton of people around at all times. Never once did I feel unsafe. I will say if you’re not used to a city, this may feel unsafe to you but in my opinion it was not. I loved how close it was the Montmartre. I walked there and had the most beautiful day! I didn’t find the noise to be an issue. In any city, you’re going to hear noise but it didn’t disrupt my sleep. Infact, I’ve never slept so well in a hotel especially when traveling different time zones. Can’t recommend this hotel enough!

The room was extremely small but very clean and a comfortable bed and good shower The area didn’t seem very safe at all, lots of men hanging about and going to the nearby metro was scary, I definitely wouldn’t recommend females to stay here unless happy to spend money on taxis , which we did. It’s not as close to montmarte advertised The girls on reception were nice but not able to give advice. The card machine only seemed to work sometimes which I thought was quite strange , I’m sure it would have worked for a hotel payment! I wasn’t told there was a 100 euro deposit. When I questioned this I was told it was in the small print but perhaps make it in the large print or even tell the customer this at check in. It was eventually returned to my account after 3 days of checking out Nice enough hotel in wrong are .

L’hotel si trova in una zona strategica, esattamente davanti all’uscita della metro. È stato ristrutturato da poco e le camere sono arredate con gusto. Alcune sono un po’ piccoline, ma considerando di doverci solo dormire assolutamente più che sufficienti e soprattutto MOLTO PULITE! I ragazzi della reception sono attivi H24 e sempre gentilissimi! Consigliatissimo!
