This was the third time we stayed at the Pullman in Paris. The first two times were excellent and our room was spacious with a large King bed. This time the chemical smell from the new rugs in the hallway and in the room were so overpowering that my athsma kicked in and I started wheezing. They moved us to a room without the smell but it had significantly less usable space. The bed was smaller (not a king) and you could not fit bedside tables on both sides of the bed( had to turn sideways between bed and wall) no room for a desk - there was a small very low table with a chair beside it. No extra space like the rooms on the website show. the layout gave lots of room in hall by toilet room but nothing much in main area with bed. Talked to the assistant manager who assured me that the manager would respond but no one has. After having to experience the fumes from the new rug and being put into what I felt was a lesser room, I was not happy with our stay.
