"Avoid the front studio rooms, noisy and close to the road."

"The room was clean but I stayed 2 nights and never had the room serviced. The manager or owner obviously had a problem with marijuana. My room smelt of it when I checked in and the following night he had it 4 or 5 times and the smell wafted into my room. After each time he coughed his lungs out. And was quite noisy until 2.00am. Will never stay here again."

"The property was good the staff were very welcoming and we had a good stay"

"Everything about this motel was terrible couldn’t get the TV to go the tap in the bathroom was broken everything seemed dirty even the sheets on the bed didn’t seem like they were fresh it was a terrible horrible experience never ever would stay there again and I would certainly be putting a bad review if they’re on Facebook"

"Great stay, lovely, clean and cosy. Staff very helpful and friendly Napier fantastic and owner provided us with a list of tried and tested eateries which we used, thank you. Recommendation to Te Mara peak also fab Location great, right on the beach"

"Amazing property, dining and staff. Variety of activities from relaxing to adventurous and inbetween. Hope to return someday!"

"The property was excellent how we should be notified of the extra parking fee should be advertised rather then included when you make the booking"

"Very nice room with a separate room for queen size bed and twin bed in different room. Kitchen was wonderful with plates, cutlery, cups and glasses etc. There was a stove top hot plate, fridge etc. Very nice set up. Grocery store and many restaurants nearby."

"Clean, tidy."

"Bel hôtel, près de la plage et très grande chambre neuve et propre"

"After having stayed at East Pier many times I was disappointed with the fact in order to view even free to air TV, one needed to know one’s logins and also for other platforms. The enjoyment of coming home after a night out, the part of climbing into bed and switching on the TV is now not an option without logging in. We also had to pay to watch Supercars and the All Blacks. Concerning also, was to see someone’s email address at the login. Privacy issues I would imagine."

"We had a great room with a spa bath and balcony. Room was spacious, clean and well equipped."
