Huston's Attic-Renewed Downtown Charm at an Amazing Location--13th & Vine!

When you don't need a large home for rent in Paso Robles, consider a tucked away apartment instead. Huston's Attic is a remodeled upstairs apartment with separate entrance, above the Historic Huston House, built in 1894. Located in the heart of the Historic Vine Street district of Paso Robles, just a brief walk down the street will expose you to many historic structures from the early days. It is just one block from the scenic downtown of Paso Robles where you can enjoy dining, entertainment and unique shopping boutiques, or just a quiet walk through the park. You can pick up some fresh local farm goods and items from the Farmers Market in the park on Saturday mornings and Tuesday afternoons. This property is a one bedroom/one bath master suite with a walk-in closet and queen-size bed. It has living room with TV and is set up for internet service. There is a nice little kitchen area with new appliances, and a stacked washer & dryer in the apartment. We have supplied it with extra bedding and cooking needs for extended stays. Beautiful and comfortable in an exquisite downtown location. Keyed entry. City Permit #STR19-0069***Five Star Coffee Program- We start your stay with a supply of coffee, filters, coffee pods, cream, and sugar for our provided drip and pod-style coffee makers onsite at every home.***Wi-Fi and/or power outages can occur periodically in our small town and rural settings, over which we have no control***There may be wildlife on site, including bugs, both inside and outside.***
***We continue to implement our already rigorous cleaning protocols along with an added layer of disinfecting, as we finalize for each guest arrival. On departure, we ask that you take out the trash and begin a load of towels in the laundry, if it exists onsite, and we require that you not leave any dirty dishes/pots & pans. A fee of up to $200 may be charged for dirty dishes/pots & pans.***

Great Spot for Two!

Location is awesome and the Attic is a great option for two. Check-in was easy, and easy to communicate with the owners. Clean and well-stocked with coffee.

Historic Gem!

Love the charm and beauty of this attic getaway. Quiet, clean and perfectly appointed. Just a few blocks from the town square and for you golfers out there - less than 10 minutes away from two very affordable and fun public golf courses.

Close to perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Huston’s Attic. It is the prettiest property on the prettiest street in Paso. Easy walk to the park and dining, quiet and good parking. It was very hot in Paso but the Attic has a good AC and kept it cool even in the extreme heat. The Attic is well appointed and had everything we needed. It is quite roomy for a one bedroom but be aware the ceilings are low with odd angles that give it a unique charm. We loved it!

Perfect Paso weekend

Huston’s Attic was absolutely charming and full of historical character! The appartment was equipped with everything we could possibly need for our 2 night stay even with bottled water and coffee supplies! The location could not have been more convenient being a short 5 minute walk into the restaurant/shopping area of Paso! The communication with our host, Bruce, was great and check in and checkout was seamless. Would definitely return and highly recommend for a getaway stay for 2! Many thanks for everything!

Prior to arrival we were able to contact our host with arrival details and he was waiting for us when we arrived. After some details about Huston's Attic, Bruce left us to settle in but made sure to let us know he was just a call or text away should we need anything. The apartment was just as described in the VRBO listing. The location was excellent. It was an easy walk to the downtown area of Paso Robles with shops, restaurants and parks. Sidewalks were wide and walkable. The inside of Huston's Attic was clean and updated. The bed was comfortable as was the couch. There were plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels provided. Closet space was more than adequate for the two of us. The kitchen and dining area was open to the living area. I enjoyed sitting at the table overlooking the street and watching the city wake up. When it was time to leave, it was easy to reach Bruce and let him know. We did not need to reach him during our stay. He quickly responded to my text indicating our departure. I would highly recommend Huston's Attic to anyone staying in Paso Robles or the surrounding area. We were busy with wedding activities so did not get to enjoy all that Paso has to offer. I would love to return! Thank you to our hosts!

Full of charm! This attic apartment was perfect for two. It was extremely clean and very interesting with all of the angles of the roof. Check in (Even when our flight was delayed and we arrived at 2:00 a.m.) was easy, as was the checkout. It actually had more amenities than we thought we would ever use in the kitchen but they were extremely helpful. It was a very short, easy walk into down town.

It is a comfortable, clean, well-equipped living space that has been nicely decorated by its owners. Where some short-term rentals include a “starter set” of cleaning supplies and beverages like coffee (sometimes one day’s worth), this apartment included enough coffee pods for both of us for our entire stay. The location is ideal and within easy walking distance of the town square, which features many restaurants, bars and shops. Also, the communication with the owner was excellent, and he came out to meet us with the keys upon our arrival. We could not have been happier with our experience with this apartment and would recommend it to others.

Perfect

The entire experience exceeded my expectations. I knew the location was great, but I expected less given its proximity to downtown. Bruce, the host, was accommodating and genuine. The property is beautiful, and the small upstairs apartment is impeccably clean and comfortable. Since it’s an attic space and I’m a bit tall, I had to tilt my head at times, but I didn’t mind—it was peaceful and private.
