Great Place to Stay

Well appointed and clean hotel. The beds were firm but not hard. There was a very nice breakfast included in the room price. It is right on the Danube, an excellent place to stay.

We have stayed at the Hotel Koenig several times and enjoy the atmosphere around the river. The breakfast buffet is good, mattresses are firmer than we prefer, but will most likely return in the future.

This hotel was convenient and charming. The room was perfect and loved the eclectic decor. The breakfast was amazing but then it's Europe.

From the staff member that checked me in to the staff at breakfast and the staff member who checked me out of my room, they all are so kind and pleasant, always asking if there was anything else they could do for me. Wonderful place, I would definitely stay again.

A Lovely Hotel

A very pleasant hotel! The staff were gracious and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was enormous. And best of all was the location - the hotel opens right out onto the old city. Sightseeing is within easy walking distance.

Incredibly location. Access to the street/river level and also access to the upper street level by elevator. Within walking distance of everything we wanted to see.

Room was clean, housekeeping, restaurant and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. On your website it said laundry facilities. Turns out the hotel only has laundry services so they wash your clothes for you but charges 1-6 Euros per piece! That was disappointing as I thought there were actual washer and dryer that guests can use for a more fair price. We ended up having to go to a local laundromat that was 18min walk from the hotel and it was not a nice facility but we had no other choice.

If you arrive by car make sure you also reserve a parking spot it is in the basement. Elevator goes from garage to room. Easy to transport your luggage. Fabulous breakfast. You can take a boat from across the hotel to Vienna Melk and Linz . Super convenient

Excellent location

The hotel has an excellent location right next to the city center. Our room was recently renovated and spotlessly clean. The lady at the check-in was superfriendly. The hotel has a parking garage, but it is not guarded - it was wide open when we arrived at night; and it was wide open when we left in the evening. The hotel also had no staff at hand at 6am, so we actually couldn’t check-out. Nobody answered knocking on the door or ringing the bell (even though according to the receptionist, the night guard and the restaurant staff should have been at hand).

das Hotel liegt wirklich direkt im Inselstadtbereich am Wasser, an den Schiffsanlegestellen, ist sehr gepflegt und urig; Parkhaus mit großem Auto etwas umständlich, da sehr eng; uns hat es sehr gut gefallen

Leider hat das Hotel keine Klimaanlage, bei diesen Temperaturen muss man das Fenster öffnen, damit störte der Straßenlärm enorm.
