"Loved the hotel, we were there for one night, check in was extremely smooth, the room was very pretty – loved the complimentary sherry and fruit in the room, and we had a wonderful view of the sea. Breakfast was awesome, cheese, fruit, yoghurt and a full cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel is geared for both summer and winter visitors (both air-conditioning and electric blankets in the room), which is perfect for the Western Cape where you can literally have four seasons in one day! Within easy walking distance to the Wharf (which has the art gallery and restaurants) so the location was great! Would highly recommend."

Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. "Lovely lodge right on the beach. Quaint lodge rooms were very comfortable but ceilings are slopped so not good if you are tall. Brilliant shower but getting a little worn, still loved it. Food on the premises good and reasonable, friendly staff."

"friendly efficient check in, lovely room with fab sea view, efficient A/C which heated when necessary. had originally booked one night but so enjoyed myself ended up staying for three. property well maintained and small pool had enough shade to make relaxing and reading a book enjoyable. food in restaurant excellent and reasonably priced. thoroughly recommended "
