My traveling partner and I both got villa rooms here. While checking in, I was surprised when the reception person synically told me that the internet comes at a cost but I can afford it because I am the "big rich American". Both people at reception seemed hostile to me because I'm American. Then we proceeded to our rooms. At first glance, the room was very nice. But after spending a few minutes there, both our rooms had a large mosquito problem. My room also had the additional discomfort of ants.
At breakfast, we twice found that the restaurant did not have enough seats to accomodate everyone eating, ourselves included.
However, the service people are very nice. I had a couple of occasions to talk to the woman who cleaned my room and found her to be very pleasant. Same goes for the room service person (by the way, the room service food rates a square "okay").
The on site bars are not easy to find, and when we did find them, they were stand-offish if they were found.
I had been in Thailand for ten days before coming here and had a great experience at both of my previous occasions. This was a large let down because it doesn't exemplify the wonderful attitude of the Thai people.
