Secluded Waterfront Location With Dock

Entering this private location and home, guests have initially commented on the beautiful setting and the peacefulness that comes from stepping onto the property. Our home sits on 4 ½ acres in a private waterfront community named “Osbrook Point” in Stonington Ct. Bordered on 2 sides by preserved woodlands and the Pawcatuck River on another, this year round home sits upon a knoll and the views and property look out down a gentle slope toward the river where one has access to a private dock and float for boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and wonderful views. The view across the river is of Watch Hill. Boaters will have direct access to open waters for fishing, boating or beaching at local beaches or at “Sandy Point”, a small island which is also a nature preserve. The boat dock is suitable for a boat up to 26 feet. There is fresh water and electricity at the dock.

Our home sleeps ten guests with four bedrooms and two full baths. Three of the bedrooms have queen beds, one with a pair of twin beds and a pull out couch in the living room. There is a laundry room and pantry for your convenience. It is an open concept home with water views from most rooms, a large deck for relaxing and barbecuing and a large yard to entertain and enjoy friends and family in a safe and secluded neighborhood. While it is in an ideal location for entertaining, this is not a party house.

The home's location allows renters to enjoy a natural setting with wildlife and the river with views to Weekapaug and Watch Hill. It is close to historic Stonington Borough, Mystic with it's Seaport and Aquarium, Napatree and Misquamicut Beaches and Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos and local wineries. The house is a short drive to Rhode Island where numerous beaches and RI activities abound. The house location and area provides many enjoyable and scenic areas for hiking or bike riding.

I spent a very relaxing few days here with my niece. We thoroughly enjoyed the setting, a glen like open area surrounded by trees leading to a nice dock jutting out into the river. The kitchen was well equipped for home cooked meals. The wrap around porch and spacious living room accommodated very relaxing indoor or outdoor lounging. Lovely, perfect, and quiet.

House is comfortable, well cared for, beautiful view, and great getaway- surrounded by nature- trees and the river- and 10-20 min drive to most local attractions. Great for my in-law family of 9!

Jim and Kathleen’s place in Stonington is a real gem. The property is secluded and very large, with a dock right out into the river/bay. The house is clean and very homey. This is also an excellent fishing area. We caught a ton of striped bass on a boat we rented at the Stonington marina and docked right at the house all weekend. Will definitely rent from them again!

We enjoyed the open living area very much. The mosquitoes were a deterrent to outdoor activities. The house was very clean but there was an unpleasant smell in one of the bathrooms. Also an issue with the water pipe going to the dock.

We rented this beautiful house for the week to celebrate my 60th birthday. Both my wife and I use wheelchairs, this property was advertised as wheelchair accessible. We have visited properties previously that claimed to be wheelchair accessible, but we’re not, after communicating with the owners of this home, we learned that this was truly wheelchair accessible. It is a beautiful location and a beautiful part of the world, clean, meticulously decorated and well provisioned. We hope to return in the future, the only reason we would not is simply to explore other parts of the world.

The property is truly unique, located within a preservation area. While it does take a bit longer to get there, it is well worth the effort. The home is perfect for a family gathering. There are many extra touches and everything you need is at hand. The owners were fast to respond and helpful. It really exceeded our expectations and we liked that it was our hidden gem.

We had a wonderful 3 days staying at this property. We wanted a house that could accommodate 8 people and also provide us the space to celebrate our mom's 75th birthday with a few other relatives that lived close by one of the days. This was perfect. The kids loved the big yard and dock where they ran around, fished, and played. The adults appreciated the serene setting and being together in the same house, yet having enough space that it didn't feel cramped. The house was clean and cozy...had a lake-house feel to it. The owners were very helpful and had a great guide to everything you needed to know including area restaurants, sites, etc. They also left a nice welcome basket for us and made sure the house was well stocked with all the amenities you would need in a rental property.

The property was as described. In fact it seemed even larger with the dining area and living area open. There was no problem with air conditioning. The beautiful fan over the main living area provided a nice feel. It was fun to explore all the unique games, pictures, books, and knickknacks. We did have a lighting problem, host came and had an electrician there to fix by next morning. Kitchen is well equipped. The canoe was used twice. The young people explored the river extensively.

House was well stocked with all the essentials and the owners did an amazing job making sure we have everything we needed. Plenty of information about the area included in the binder they provided. There was a funky smell (septic? No idea) in the 2nd bathroom though. Otherwise the house was clean and tidy with plenty of extra towels and bedding. Our kids had an amazing time with the kayaks and crab trap the owners kindly provided. The location is tucked away so it’s nice and quiet. The owners are very responsive when we have questions before we arrived.

This comfortable and welcoming home has lovely (seasonal) views of the water. Walk down to the dock to breathe in the salty air and watch the sea birds. The home is tucked at the end of Osborne Point and may take few minutes to find, but is well worth it. There are 4 comfortable bedrooms with cozy linens. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Plenty of towels and everything was very clean. The décor is a lifetime collection of curated items from old New England pottery and lovely rugs to shoreline ship models and collectible books. Your hosts couldn't be more welcoming. the home was very accessible for someone using a walker - easy ramp and wide doorways. Many attractions right in CT and also a very quick drive to Watch Hill and other RI attractions. Highly recommended.

This house served our needs beautifully for 10 people. The party included my husband and me, our two children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren. The central living and dining area was our meeting spot, with the kitchen happily tucked around the corner, but within earshot of the living area, so the cook could be part of the conversation too. The house is spotless, with plenty of bathroom supplies, extra blankets in the bedrooms, and a well stocked kitchen with everything one could need to prepare meals. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of space for the kids to run and play. As events would have it, our daughter in law, broke her ankle a few days prior, and in conversation with the owners, discovered that the house is handicap accessible, which was a fortunate stroke of luck for our situation. The owners were delightful to work with, responsive and flexible to our needs and we were delighted with our stay.

I stayed here for a long weekend with 8 of my girlfriends. First, the Levys are wonderful hosts. They answered all of my questions promptly, provided a lot of detail about the house, and were very communicative in all aspects! Second, the house is just gorgeous! It's exactly as described in the pictures!! The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious...there are plenty of towels and extra linens. The kitchen is plenty stocked with everything you might need. The kitchen, dining area, and living room are all very open so no one feels left out if people are cooking or watching TV. There are lots of windows so you can see the amazing view from everywhere in the living area...and what views they are! There's a beautiful porch off the dining/living areas with chairs and tables. We were very lucky that our February weekend turned out to be beautiful so we sat outside and took in the quiet and the lovely view. I would recommend this house to anyone who would love to get away from it all!!!

Whenever possible, ask the homeowners this question when you rent on VRBO,is your neighbor doing a renovation on his home?Because, this was very disappointing to me and my husband, since we rented for almost a week. The 2 day weekend was quiet, until Monday morning, when the generator started up at 6 or was it 7 a.m.There were compressors running and banging going on throughout the day, when we were drinking our coffee on the deck.I think the worst of it,was the barrel that was in their backyard that had a fire burning in it,and when it was dying out,all the thick black smoke came our way. So,I would not have rented their house had I known they were doing constuction next door.It was unacceptable.
