As a vegan, I appreciated that they included both a vegan and vegetarian option on the dinner menu. The thermal pools and the baths (balneario) were lovely. Don’t forget your bathing cap! "

"A lovely family run hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was adequate for an overnight stay. There was a beautiful small beach across the road. We found there were not many dining options around, but we did eat at the cafeteria on the beach which served great food. The breakfast was ok and was served by the owners at your table."

"Great location with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants in walking distance, and only a short drive to the Cares Gorge trailhead. Toilet needs a deep clean, it was superficially clean but there was a strong smell of urine present. Breakfast was good, and the staff serving were friendly and efficient……but you have to book a half hour slot….and that’s your lot! No chance of a slow relaxing morning coffee."

"This is a great option if you are in town for hiking, especially if you don't speak Spanish. The guy who works the front desk is super personable and will help with hiking routes, restaurants, whatever you need, and he is also a wonderful host - very friendly, very charismatic. The view from our windows of the mountains was outstanding. You will have to shut the curtains ok n the afternoon to keep the heat out, but you won't be there anyway. You'll be hiking or eating or visiting a cheese...

"This is a nice apartment in a block of apartments that share a small pool. Other residents were friendly and the apartment is in walking distance of a couple of supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Colombres is in a beautiful location with an interesting history and access to the mountains and beaches of Asturias. Communication with the owner was easy through the Vrbo app. We had to specify an arrival time so we could be let in. Unfortunately the flat had not been properly cleaned. The floors and surfaces were dirty and the sheets smelled unpleasant. We cleaned it ourselves, although the owner offered to get the flat cleaned once i had flagged the issue up with her. We enjoyed the outside space, which had a table and comfortable chairs, especially when it was hot. The appliances all worked. It's a nice place to stay."
