For those who can tear themselves away from the vistas, you will find Casciana Thermal baths, Volterra, San Gimignano and the Tuscan coast all within easy reach for a day trip. The resident resort manager is on hand so you can sample La Macchia's organic first press olive oil, wines and seasonal vegetables.
