Wonderful cabins, super clean with a wonderful fire pit.
We enjoyed this super clean, new cabin. Has everything you could ever want. Be sure to know there's no TV, but lots of beautiful nature to enjoy and a professional cornhole setup. Bring your favorite board games. Pack up all your toiletries and head over to the bear den for a relaxing weekend. The beds were nice and the bathroom spacious. Super cute decorations, even the dishes have bears on them. I think we'll be back!
Cabin was wonderful.
Location was wonderful.
Would have liked an in
struction book on how to control heat and A/C.
A railing is needed at entry steps. It was very rainy and I slipped and fell when leaving one day. Luckily, was not injured.
Always good to have a grab bar in the shower too.
Also, railing is needed at the entry steps.bopk
Stay was pleasant. Has some issues with the lock the first day, but the host came and fixed it the next day.
The place was peaceful. Only issue we had was the amount of light that comes through the blinds in the bedroom. Maybe get some room darkening curtains. That sunshine poking through so early in the morning was too much for us. It was an otherwise pleasant stay. Far better than the local hotels.
Was very relaxing. No TV but you do have wifi. We had a fire every night in the fire pit which was relaxing. Had a short visit from one of the Amish fellers on horse back, just checkin to make sure everything was going well which was nice of him. All in all was an awesome time and I’d enjoy staying here again!

If you’re looking for a “country quiet” cabin to spend time in - I cannot recommend Pine Valley Cabins enough. It was very clean and cozy.
It is centrally located and minutes from Amish bakeries and general stores. Seaman is close by with a few small restaurants. Bring your own food because the closest real grocery store is Save a Lot in Peebles or Kroger in Hillsboro.
Almost every imaginable cooking utensil you may need is provided, as well as a Keurig and some K-cups.
This is not the place to stay if you need a screen or cell service to get by. Satellite internet is provided, but you won’t be watching movies or scrolling TikTok. Bring a book, some board games or puzzles. You’re there to unwind and unplug. Embrace it.
We were definitely not ready to leave and will be back again and again!
I thought this place was going to be a tribute to bears. Imagine my horror, then, when I saw a bear skin hanging on the wall. Make up your mind -- are you for or against bears?!
In all seriousness, though, this place is everything we could have asked for. This was my first Vrbo booking (I've done a few bookings on the red-logo competitor), and if this is any indication of the kinds of properties listed on this platform, then my only regret is not joining sooner!
The host was incredibly responsive when I reached out via Vrbo messaging. In fact, one question was answered almost instantly. The photos accurately depict the place, and we found the bear theme fun. The freezer was a bit too small to fit one of the pizzas we'd bought. No biggie ... we just ate it right away.
As the listing promises, the place feels nice and secluded. We spent a very lazy Saturday doing next to nothing, and it felt amazing. At the same time, when we did need last-minute supplies (how could we have forgotten a lighter for the fire?!), a 24-hour gas station and convenience store was only 10 minutes away.
The shower is nice and hot; the beds are very comfortable. There's no TV, but that's not why you're here ... is it? The Internet connection is satellite, so not great for a Zoom meeting, but again, that's not why you're here!
I can hardly believe that a cabin nearly the size of my house can be had for less per night than any of the respectable hotels in the area. What a great value!
Pine Valley Cabins never disappoint! Very clean and quiet cabins! Very well stocked and nicely maintained. WiFi is pretty much nonexistent and cell phone service is a no-go until you reach a main road. If you’re prepared to be off grid for your stay, there’s no better place to be!
This was our second time at The Bear’s Den and it definitely won’t be our last. The cabin is well cleaned and supplied with toiletries, linens, even K-Cups!Adams County is my happy place. This quiet cabin is close to state and national parks and is the perfect place to go off grid and enjoy peace and quiet.
We, my husband and I stayed here last year and added my sister and her husband thia year. We were asked to switch cabins, not a problem at all. It was exactly the same. Everyone mentions the cleanliness and its true. The funny thing was my sister walked around the cabin and exclaimed, "it's just as clean outside." More than that, it is quiet with nature sounds all around. I love the front porch and the firepit area. Everything is top quality and so well maintained. We will be back.
