What a wonderful hotel!!! The hotel was elegant, very clean, very thought out. There wasnt anything missing. There was even a kitchenette an a Nespresso machine, which was a lovely touch. The rooms were very comfortable in size. Even the elevator was pretty. Tonia who greeted us and checked us in was just lovely and as quick as you can get to satisfy your needs. In minutes she found a hairdresser one of us needed, she made reservations at a fabuloys local pub/eatery famous for their appetizers...

An enchanting stay in a charming hotel. Very friendly staff, the room was immaculate, and the breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend for a lovely mountain stay.

Beautiful property with stunning views! It felt peaceful and luxe. Not walkable to the town but an easy drive to Makrinitsa and Portaria. I would stay here again!

A truly beautiful and special place. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which was so lovely and provided the perfect amount of space for us and our teenage daughter. The hotel was lovely, with real charm and character. We wish we could have spent longer in Portaria!

Yannis and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Their home is beautiful, and the breakfast was incredible—all homemade and delicious local ingredients.

The hotel and hotel staff were great. Comfortable clean rooms and bathrooms. Only complaint is the location. If you plan on staying here rent a car and be very comfortable driving a stick shift. Portaria is a 30min drive from Volos and 1hr drive to the east coast. There are some restaurants in Portaria but not much else to do in this area.

Everything was great

Room was quite small but the balcony was amazing! And the breakfast - it could not have been better. The staff were outstanding! The property was a little difficult to reach since the curvy, steep roads had recently been washed out.

It's worth staying here just for the view. Happily there's more reasons than that though. We spent 3 nights at Lagou Raxi and we all loved it, including my teens. The views from the hotel are spectacular whether you are on your room balcony, eating a meal on the porch or relaxing at the pool. The hotel is like a little oasis. It's 15 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes walk to a great little town square with a several taverna's. But, perched up on the hill it's so much quieter, calmer and...
