Very cute old house that has been beautifully decorated. Great location within walking distance of downtown. Hosts provided many amenities and even stocked a few beverages and bakery treats. Will definitely stay again in the future.
This little house is perfect for a weekend in Pella. Great location! We were able to walk over a block to town every day, and went a bit further to take our 3 year old to the park.
The Little Yellow House was a great stay for a family of four. Every detail is thought out. And a great location a block from downtown Pella and a short walk to the college. Would/will definitely stay here again.
Exactly as described! Very adorable home and would stay again!
Very neat, clean and welcoming. Charming little yellow house with everything we needed and more. Hosts were easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. Will definitely stay again and highly recommended!
We loved this house. It was very comfortable, cute, and cozy. The hosts thought of . everything. Pella is delightful and we hope to stay at the little yellow house again.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay! The house was spotless, stylishly decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was welcoming and responsive, providing helpful local tips and even leaving some sweet treats from a local bakery!! The location was perfect, walking distance to great coffee shops, restaurants and the downtown area. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
This was a perfect place for four Kansas City gals in town for shopping and visiting. Within walking distance of the shops and restaurants, a short drive for anything else we needed. The house was very clean, stocked with everything we needed (Cokes and Diet Cokes after a long night were PERFECT), and the beds were so comfy. Super hosts!
The house was excellent. Clean, bright, comfortable. Located super close to the main square in Pella, we enjoyed walking to dinner, breakfast and shopping. Really appreciate the waters and snacks that the hosts provided. I'd highly recommend this place.
We had a great trip to Pella throughly enjoyed the little yellow house. It was so clean and decorated so sweet. Thanks to our host and hostess. Delightful stay. I missed it had 2 floors. We were all over 70 and while not disabled some had mobility issues I thought I had a house with all bedrooms on the first floor.
We had a great time staying at the Little Yellow House and in Pella. The house was beautifully furnished with lots of amenities. It was close to downtown and all the cute shops. The hosts met our needs quickly and were available by a call or email. I would recommend the Little Yellow House to anyone staying in Pella!
I stayed at this property with a group of girls all 18 plus. Before my stay I was given everything I needed to know about the property and local attractions. When I arrived the house was very clean and decorated for the Christmas season! The hosts provided everything someone would need for their trip to this area. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone and am thankful for the hospitality of the hosts!
Location is everything--so easily walkable to downtown (2 blocks)! We came a week before the Tulip Festival and had wonderful weather, saw beautiful tulips and had lovely pastries. Host left us pastries and drinks which was a nice touch. The house had everything we needed for a 2 night stay. Clean, well stocked, it was just as the photos represented. The ramp outside was a winner as we traveled with a senior that sometimes uses a wheelchair. Host was very responsive both before we arrived and at check in when we had a minor glitch. Would definitely recommend and would stay here if we visit the picturesque town of Pella again.
The Little Yellow House was a great fit for our family. The house was clean, well furnished and very close to downtown. The area was safe and only a short walk to businesses and parks. Our children loved the windmill bunk bed, the toys and sitting on the outdoor porch. The hosts were very helpful in providing information and quick to respond, and even had treats, fruit and beverages in the refrigerator for us. We would definitely stay here again!
The charm and location of this lovely house were perfect for our family as we visited the Pella area for a few days. The house has everything we needed and the hosts went above and beyond with hospitality by providing a variety of drinks, fruit, and local bakery treats for our family to try. Sleeping arrangements were perfect for everyone in our family of six. Kitchen playsets, boardgames, and fun hide and seek spots kept our kids busy. The beautiful decor, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches are second to none. Instructions for checking in and our were very straightforward. Highly recommend this wonderful place!
What a wonderful cottage! Generous extra amenities!!
I couldn't wait to recommend this property! When my wife and I arrived with our three young grandchildren, we were met by Christmas lights on the front of the house, a beautiful Christmas tree, nativity scene on one of the fire places and other tasteful Christmas decorations that just made the place so cozy. It is obvious this is a VERY old home full of character, but we were SO impressed by the amazing job of remodeling and updating to be very "current" yet celebrate the beauty of the original home. The obvious original hardwood floors are gorgeous. We LOVED this home and will DEFINITELY stay again. A couple of little drawbacks people need to be aware of are: #1: the kids bedroom upstairs can only be accessed by walking through the main bedroom. #2: there are no TV's in any of the 3 bedrooms. That was a bit of a problem for my wife who depends on that to go to sleep. Even offering one bedroom with a TV would be helpful in this day and age. And, even though it is advertised correctly, there is only one bathroom downstairs so if you need to frequently use the bathroom during the night you will need to make sure you are in the downstairs bedroom. And, finally, the kitchen was really nice, but not stocked well with mixing bowls, baking sheets, etc. We made Christmas cookies and had a tough time mixing frosting, etc. as there were no mixing bowls at all. That could be improved upon. But otherwise GREAT! Nice owners too! Coffee, baked treats were awesome! Thank you!
Mike and Holly were wonderful hosts they were available for any questions, left us delicious local treats and information regarding fun things to do in Pella. It was a great destination for a wedding and easy to walk to town and enjoy all the special shops in Pella
very clean and comfortable with little touches that made a difference for us: nightstands next to the bed that had chargers in them for our phones; labels for the light switches so we didn't have the trial and error of figuring out which switch to flip; board games that we didn't have time to get to, but still nice. A charming house that is in a quiet neighborhood but only blocks from downtown.
