Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed to be required to pay in cash upon checkout. There was even a sign that said they accepted credit cards but she was insistent on cash. Wiped out my cash supply and due to transaction fees and exchange rates cash is much more expensive for travel. Found this to be typical in Greece, however,...

"I had a wonderful stay here with my family. The hotel staff were very friendly and accomodating. Our room was very spacious and had a lovely balcony with a view of the mountains and nearby castle. My children also enjoyed the hot tub that is site. There are some really neat archaeological sites in the area, and a few beaches a few minute drive away that were fabulous and non overpopulated. It's a few minute drive into the center of town where there is lots of dining options and a supermarket. I...

"Castle view bungalows are chalet type buildings at the foot of the hill leading up to the castle. There is a decent sized pool on site and breakfast comes in the form of a pre-prepared box for two. The drive up to the Castle is short and must be done. The admission of 12 Euros is well worth the money, the views and the frescoes in the three churches are amazing. A word of warning, the footpaths are uneven and the climb is strenuous. The nearby village of Mystras is charming and has several...
