We wanted a small out of the way cottage, but central to the area, and found the perfect place. The welcome pack was a nice surprise, as were the owner's dogs and Ed the horse. A well equipped cottage, and a great base for exploring the area.

The cottage was to a high standard.
The cottage was to a high standard. The only points I would like to make to give it 100% would be:
there were a lot of cobwebs and spiders in the corners of the rooms, even at floor level so the level of cleaning could be a bit more thorough,
a top sheet or light weight duvet available as it was very warm in the bedroom, even with the window open all night,
and a night light on the stairs as my husband and I both missed a step when we got up during the night.
Otherwise it was great. The farm is lovely and the lady we dealt with very friendly. Great views and lovely walk into the village. Very pretty area and lots of things to do and places to visit.

Shepherds Lodge is a well-presented cottage in the delightful location of Lamphey, a short drive from both Tenby and Pembroke. In spite of the fact that the cottage is located on a large working farm, it is peaceful and quiet, with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. There are a number of restaurants, a Best Western Hotel and a Spar shop / filling station just a short distance from the cottage. For the major supermarkets, you need to travel to Pembroke / Pembroke Dock, which is literally 10 minutes down the road. You can also visit the remains of the impressive Lamphey Bishop's Palace which is located on the farm track leading to the cottage.
While we enjoyed our stay at the cottage, and the magnificent coast and beaches in the area, we found the upstairs bedroom / downstairs bathroom arrangement a bit problematic, and the sloping ceiling in the bedroom was a constant hazard, as we are both quite tall. Wardrobe space was also a bit limited, but we got by.

Was really impressed with The Shepherds Lodge, in an ideal location and on a working farm, lovely to wake to the sound of the sheep and stunning views over the fields and village. The accommodation was perfect, spotlessly clean and had everything needed, can not fault any element of our stay. The hosts were friendly and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. Only wish I’d booked for a week not just the weekend but very much looking forward to a return visit.

The accommodation was very good, cosy with pretty much everything you need.
The accommodation was very good, cosy with pretty much everything you need. The place is very modern inside with an excellent shower. The bedroom is mezzanine style with a large comfy bed. There is limited space in the bedroom and being picky not a lot of storage space but it really wasn’t a problem. The location on the farm is really nice with views across the fields. We were lucky to see the lambs out each day when we were there. The owners were very friendly and we had a lovely welcome pack. It’s well located for a number of great beaches and the coastal path. There is a station nearby if you want to take the train. A great property in a beautiful area
