I recently stayed at EdgeHill Manor and, unfortunately, found the experience quite disappointing. While the location is excellent—very central and convenient—the property itself is extremely rundown. The rooms were clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable with a decent mattress, but that’s about where the positives end. The rest of the furniture was outdated, worn, and in need of serious repair or replacement.
I had booked a room with a kitchen, expecting some added convenience, but the amenities were so poorly maintained that it simply wasn’t worth the extra cost. It’s a real shame, because with a bit of care and investment, this property could offer a much better experience.
The bathrooms were especially unpleasant—my colleague was standing ankle-deep in water by the end of his shower due to poor drainage, and all the showers ran only scalding hot water with no cold option at all. The one upside? The air conditioning did work.
Edge Hill Manor has potential, but in its current condition, I wouldn’t recommend it.
