"The reason for the terrible rating is - No meal at the Hotel so I ask the reception where I could eat, they pointed me in the direction of a local bar. Had something to eat there at 21:00hrs and by 23:00hrs I was having terrible stomach pains. (before eating at this bar I had had a continental breakfast before leaving the ship at Bilbao) By 02:00hrs diahorrea makes an appearance. "We are a couple travelling with our English setter from Bilbao ferry, travelling through to Portugal.It was great stay in this hotel. It's incredible value, the beds are comfortable the shower was powerful and the staff spoke English. Staff were very accommodating with our dog in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Quiet location just off the main route but 20mins drive from Salamanca.There is a dog walk to a large pond 5 minutes away which was handy. The room decor/ furniture was a little dated but the restaurant breakfast and dinner were quite superb..we booked for our return journey too."
