"This is the second time I’ve stayed at the bungalow. It is near the river and quiet. You do have a train that comes by often, but it was to the thrill and amazement of my 10-year-old. We walked down to the river and fished a lot, which is only 100 yards from the bungalow. If you’re looking for granite countertops and an eight persons Jacuzzi, this might not be the place for you. It’s just a quiet old farmhouse that is clean and functional for a small family. You’ll do a lot of front porch sitting, especially in the morning with your 1st cup of Joe. The local people were friendly and seemed to appreciate your presence. There’s a small eatery closer to Sandstone and Hinton. I will definitely stay here again in the future. The price is reasonable, and I really didn’t have anything to complain about other than the train rolling through about two in the morning, but after a few days, I didn’t even mind. "

"I was very thankful that this property was exactly as described. It was a getaway for my husbands birthday and he loved every minute of it. The kitchen was fully stocked, which was awesome. I've lost count of how many times we've arrived at a rental only to find the bare minimum was provided (and sometimes not even that!) but that was certainly not the case here. The row boat/canoe and gym area were my sons favorite. I adored petting and feeding the horses. We all loved hiking along the creek. It was a really peaceful stay all around!"

"A great place to visit to get out in nature. Really enjoy hiking all of the trails, although some of them are overgrown and not clearly marked (but it adds to the vibe and the maps on AllTrails are spot on). Rooms in the main lodge are spacious albeit a little old. But clean and comfy. Overall a great place for a weekend getaway with the kids. "
