Mountain Lake Lodge

8/10 Good

"The hotel lodge was n beautiful. Lodge room was old and outdated. Restaurant food was not great but you are held hostage up on the mountain. Food at the salt pond was dreadful. It was a fun experience but a one and done. Staff is friendly but communication is not good. After 2 nights finally realized maid service was only on request. Never communicated. It was a memorable trip because of Dirty Dancing but will probably not return."

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Lewisburg

"The hotel and property were super clean. The room seemed updated and the pool area was one of the cleanest we have seen in our travels. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was terrific. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lewisburg or Bucknell."

Dawson Inn

"Dawson Inn was cozy and a really nice place to stay. The manager was very nice and pleasant to talk to. The Breakfast wasn't the usual "Holiday Inn" type breakfast but it was all we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was the directions given by Google Maps. It took us off on the wrong exit and into the backwoods country on a tiny narrow road and our destination was a wooded lot. I'm glad we weren't traveling at night - we might not have seen some of the hairpin turns. We turned around and when we got back to a small town we called Dawson Inn from a church parking lot. the manager gave us the correct directions and said she has been requesting for Google Maps to change this for a long time without any results! Call ahead and get directions directly from Dawson Inn and you will have a Wonderful Stay!"
