"We had a lovely stay ant the location is as expected in a great little part of the national park. The place is as in the pictures and whilst we didnt use the pool it looks fab and the hot tub was ideal. The local restaurant was very welcoming and the nearby old bridge could hsve been a scene out of Brigadoon..... fantastic. There are the useual few quirkes with staying in older remote towns but it shouldn't put you off as presumably if you are looking at staying here you will appreciate that...

"What a place, an architectural gem. Everything about the house was so cleverly designed that it allows you simply to have a perfect living experience. The orientation of the house was chosen so well that even the insects preferred to stay away! We stayed here for 4 days and even at 35 degrees outside we were comfortable. I cant imagine the courage it took to build a house like this in a place that is so remote. Acces roads are not for the faint of hearth, take a small car with high suspension!"

"Daquelas raríssimas vezes em que todas as fotos e descrições para promover o local e o espaço ficam abaixo do que ele vale na realidade. Ficamos deslumbrados e a gentileza dos proprietários só ajudou a melhorar a experiência. Para além das ofertas de boas-vindas, a preocupação em ter uma lista super detalhada de tudo o que existe nas cercanias, a flexibilidade que denotaram para connosco foi enternecedora. "Our family of seven (5 girls aged 7-13) have recently returned from this amazing house and pool. We had the best holiday ever! The house is beautifully decorated, lovely and clean, more than adequately equipped and was just a pleasure to spend time in. The owner (John) was wonderful - spoke brilliant English and told us some really interesting places to go and how to get easily into Porto. His brother in law even came to the village and let us follow him into the local butchers. We BBQ'd every...

"A hotel set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to us and the dog. The room was a good size and had a balcony with a hammock and lake view. The breakfast was good, with freshly cooked eggs. The food in the evening was a bit limited; only one choice of a main meal but there were numerous bar snacks and sharing platters. Not really a problem though, as there was a restaurant 5 minutes walk down the road. In all a very enjoyable stay"
