"Positives: Beds very comfortable. Good bedding. Good hot water in shower.Host send help right away to resolve a couple of issues. Negatives: place could use some paint on walls and door. Hot water not working well in bathroom and kitchen sink. Barely warm water. Oven was old and not inviting to cook in. Heat pumps don’t heat well throughout. Good thing we bring a portable heater. I have to say the photos made this place look more inviting than actually was so can’t rate as high as I would have...

Bar & restaurant felt understaffed at dinner time as service in both was slow (more a management issue as the staff present were clearly working hard). Kids menu available in restaurant only. "BOOK IT! What a beautiful place. So peaceful. The staff are so sweet. The vibe is so trusting. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant (which was one of the best meals I’ve ever had), they just added the bill right in for us to pay the next day, so easy and relaxing. The pool was huge and very clean. Much needed relaxation day in the mountains :) Free parking right on site. Free buffet breakfast."

"Excellent hotel in Covilhã, we visit Covilhã every couple of months for medical reasons, there are two hotels that we use, both with pools, depending upon the price at the time. This time it was Donna Marie. Excellent as always, everything works, is clean, and relaxing. The pool area is incredible, a good sized indoor pool, poolside recliners, jacuzzi and shower. The outdoor area is really cool Lots of recliners and squishy chairs & sofas with parasols ☺️ Very good breakfast buffet, the fried eggs are cooked to perfection 😋 Lots of breads, meats, eggs, veg, puddings & desserts, three coffee machines, and a yoghurt machine ! Plus free parking and its close to the centre of Covilhã 殺"
