Hôtel Le Donjon - Coeur de la Cité Médiévale

"The service at le donjon was superb. Felt completely pampered! From the time we arrived our bags were taken to our room. The receptionist spoke perfect english. Which was super helpful, as our French is mediocre. The buffet was excellent and diverse. The bags were taken to the taxi area after our stay. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Every detail was perfect. Would definitely stay here again Top notch hotel!!"

"Property is located in a restricted zone but desk person assisted us and even parked the car in the private lot for us. Room was large, clean, and had a view of the street. Breakfast was very nice and you could sit in the private garden. Would recommend it unless you can’t climb stairs. (No elevator)"

"The hotel suited our visit to Carcassonne perfectly... The staff were very friendly and helpful, The room although small had all the amenities you'd expect and was very clean and modern. The pool was great fir a cooling dip and the bar offered a good range of drinks. The only disappointing note was a lack of bar snacks but there is a little shop next door where you can buy nuts and crisps etc.. Situated 5 minutes walk from the ancient Cité and about 20 minutes from the newer town.... Overall quite an enjoyable experience."

"We are a family of 7. The youngest was 1 and the oldest 66. We had a wonderful stay at the hotel in the grand suite. The accommodation was perfect for what we needed, plenty of space for a family. "We spent one night here on 30th August and regretted not staying longer. Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and great views of the citadel ramparts. The hotel is at the famous Narbonne gate entrance to the citadel and we had a wonderful time with family and friends in Place Marcou. We will definitely return at a future date."
