"Stayed whilst visiting the Lakes. Hotel was perfect for us as a family with children age 10 to 16. The buffet breakfast was a good selection, children loved the pancake machine. We also loved the pool, you had to pay extra but I felt this was worth it, the pool was a good size and steam room, sauna and jacuzzi nice for adults to relax. The hotel had a nice atmosphere, nice reception area with lovely open fire to sit by."
"Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn."
"What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. The food was reasonable, if not sparkling but we did have a powercut in the middle of dinner and they coped admirably. The staff seemed quite inexperienced but were delightful. Lovely position at the side of a lake/reservoir, in the middle of nowhere. Highly recommended"
"The room was gorgeous and Sue is the kindest person. Lots of attention to detail and the little things that make your stay special. One issue was low water pressure in the shower due to a temperamental electric device that runs the shower head."
"The room was lovely & comfortable. The Evening meal was delicious.
The only thing that let us down was the breakfast. It didn’t seem to be freshly cooked and wasn’t very hot & not very well cooked. A shame. If we stay again we will not pay extra for the breakfast."
