The staff were amazing. My partner has a allergy to scents and our room was heavily perfumed. We were able to view another room which was much better and we changed rooms and enjoyed our two nights. We really appreciated the staffs care and kindness with this issue. The breakfasts were amazing. Lots of choices. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Although our stay was brief, it was impressionable. We stayed in the Balvenie Suite for our wedding night and everything was perfect from top to bottom. Staff were attentive and anticipated our needs, the entire property was GORGEOUS, breakfast was bountiful and delicious. Clean, peaceful, luxurious. We will 100% come back when we can.
Centrally located and close to the historical centre of town on a large private and beautifully landscaped lawn.
The only thing that people should be aware of is that it is near a train track. It didn’t bother me but if you’re a sensitive sleeper they do provide ear plugs.
Beautiful property, wonderful pool and the staff is the best. We came in with chemical allergy issues. They went above and beyond to make sure my spouse was comfortable. Can’t say enough about their care and understanding. And the breakfast was delightful and they also took care of our gluten sensitivities..wonderful experience
Room was clean and quite nice but not a $300 luxury room. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. Room could be very nice with a few improvements - bathtub, fireplace insert, individual thermostat for the room - it was cold and the staff brought a heater very quickly, but a $300 room should have a thermostat in the room.
The check in process was very annoying - multiple emails at various stages of the check in - would have preferred to simply check in at the front desk on arrival.
Still, it was quite a nice room and place to stay. I would recommend it given the above caveats

The Hotel is clean. People should be advised NO ELEVATORS - couldn’t use the Fridge or Coffee maker as there was no power in the plug. We had to throw out food.
Aside from the room, nothing else was offered. The TV on the wall is much too large - it juts out & can be very dangerous.
Very nice property with lovely gardens and a pleasant outdoor pool. Rooms are named after scotch brands, which is a nice angle. Found the site understaffed tor the middle of high season. The nice looking bar on the main floor remained closed throughout the stay, and the check in process seemed targeted at removing any need for staff ( fill out paperwork on line and get a door code). Fortunately there was somebody to greet us on arrival, but at a boutique hotel such as this the personalized check in process should aim to be a highlight. Room was excellent.
The moment you step in, it smells fresh and cozy. You leave your shoes in a cubby by the door and they give you slippers, to keep. No dirt, no noise. The welcoming was sweet! Great door locking system! The room was very cozy, comfortable and the smell was soothing. Walking distance to mall, restaurants, etc. The bar & kitchen opens on weekends and busy season. I will be back to stay another time.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The property was very picturesque.
15 minute walk to downtown shops & restaurants along scenic streets.
Very good breakfast.
The room was stuffy and they didn’t want windows open so it was too warm. Bathroom was small. You weren’t allowed to bring your own drinks but the bar was not open.
The fridge bar in the room had limited choices & the drinks weren’t cold.
A beautiful little hideaway with pool, gazebo and sitting room, minutes from many restaurants and coffee shops. Very friendly staff. We did not eat breakfast on site as it was too pricey. Cocktail lounge is great (with poolside service!) but was only open a couple hours in the afternoon. The Lagavulin room was pretty, clean and comfortable, especially the large washroom with glass shower and freestanding bath. Full minibar and snackbar available (at extra cost) and free Nespresso coffee. Only disappointments were that the bed was too soft and pillows too fat (hard to sleep soundly), and no staff was available to serve specialty coffees in the morning (unless you purchase the whole breakfast service ahead of time). Freight trains also run past the estate in the late evening, but it didn’t bother us much on our side of the house.
The hotel is extraordinarily beautiful! The historic beauty combined with modern amenities and comfort is highly recommended. Rona was so welcoming and helpful. The breakfast so yummy! Perth is worth the visit, too.
The house and our room were exactly as expected, full of charm and very comfortable. The staff we met were also just wonderful, so welcoming and accommodating. Make sure to review the hotel policies and open/closed amenities before you book (the website isn't clear on those). Additionally, I wish we had simple access to the in-room fridge (which apparently is for mini-bar items only) -- we love shopping local and often that includes perishables.
Beautiful place. Great staff! Thank you to the 2 ladies who took care of us while we were there. Room was perfect and relaxing. I love the style and and attention to detail. We will def be back! Bed and bedding was compfy ans so soft.
The large bathtub was great to soak in after a long day and the included bath salts were nice. The bed could be way better for what the place is. Creaky and low to the ground. I’ve had better beds at the holiday inn. Location was convenient to walk to old area for shopping and food. Grounds were nice.
My daughter and I had a WONDERFUL stay and were made to feel very special. Royal, even! The suite was stunning, the food delicious, the setting idyllic and the service perfect. From the moment we were greeted at the door and given slippers to wear, we were treated like queens. We will go back!
