The cottage is located in the quiet village of Pfaffenheim, in the heart of Alsace, 13 km south of the charming town of Colmar. This town with its 16th and 17th century half-timbered houses and the famous Musée Unterlinden is sometimes called 'Little Venice'. Located on the Route des Vins d'Alsace, wine tastings to taste the delicious Gewürztraminer and Riesling, walks through vast forests and vineyards, and rural tranquility make Alsace worth a stay. You are close to the 'Parc Naturel Régional des Ballons des Vosges', where the breathtaking scenery offers countless opportunities for hiking, biking and fishing. Various water sports can be enjoyed on the lake of Gérardmer. You will stay in a terraced house on a square in the center of this small village. The building dates back to the 18th century and belonged to a winemaking family. The renovation of the house has preserved original building elements, such as the old wooden beams. One bedroom has a 140 x 190 cm double bed, the other two mattresses of 100 x 200 cm each in a 200 x 200 cm bed frame. The small, fully glazed terrace is accessible by 4 steps. The house is somewhat old-fashioned, but solidly furnished. You can reach the accommodation through an enclosed courtyard, which also serves as a parking lot, and an external staircase of 19 steps.
