Really enjoyed our stay at the Kestrel. Its central location made it easy to get to everything we wanted to see in Philadelphia. We walked everywhere but some sites may be too far for others. We especially loved how close it was to Reading Market which quickly became our go-to breakfast and snack spot. Would add that their communications were extremely thorough and that helped things go smoothly.

Great location for museums, very walkable. Clean loft vibe.Wanted a Keurig, included coffee ok, but... Needs horizonatal surfaces in bathroom, maybe a small table, shelf on wall by sink, a few more hooks. Struggled with thermostat, but, once we got windows open, that was fine, despite street noise at night.

So, chose the Kestrel for its location close to City Center and other attractions in the area. The room's open space design and its minimalist furnishings was not necessarily to my liking, but it was comfortable, clean and appointed with all the necessities for a longer stay. The building itself is secured with an entry system that requires a personal code to enter and it felt safe. There are several restaurants/cafes nearby that offered good food and atmosphere. I would recommend the Kestrel to anyone looking for accommodations near the city's landmarks and a variety of eating establishments.

Great room with a great price!

Our stay at the Kestrel Hotel in Philly was great! The room was super clean and cute! The owners responded to my questions very quickly and made any instructions on access tot he room very easy to understand. It was also nice to have a luggage drop off room to store our bags before we could get into our room. Definitely going to stay here again!!!

Krestel Hotel is a good deal

The Krestel Hotel is actually more like an Air B&B. Communication with owner was very good, responsive. The room was fairly spartan. There are minimal furnishings, no tv, but the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Had a wonderful sleep. The bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The kitchette was new and well appointed. The location was in an out of the way neighborhood but close to subway, suburban trains, great coffee shop and a couple of bars and restaurants . The price was right and if you need a comfortable place to sleep, close to town, i would definitely recommend

Around the corner from a musical venue a friend and I were catching a show at. Minimalist decor but nice aesthetic. Clean. Comfortable beds. Excellent communications before and during stay. I'll book it again in the future.

Super clean and comfy

Ok first of all, the room was very very clean when I came, and the kitchen as well. They got every basic tools that you need for the kitchen which I love the most. But the only very small thing i want the hotel to add on is the TV ( just for entertainment ). Also their private parking i don’t know where it is and I try to call and contact but I didn’t receive any information about it. But it’s not a big deal, hope they can put parking information more specific in their website. Otherwise this hotel was beautiful including the views, the room and the cleanliness. I’ll love to stay again!
