The property is super clean super easy to find super easy to access! We had a wonderful day. The unit is very spacious as well! 05 stars across the board except one issue they say the rooms are soundproof, but the train was right next to our windows and it is super super loud!! Other than that great stay!

We recently stayed at the Lokal for a work related trip. I loved everything about this hotel. Having a mini apartment with a kitchen was wonderful as opposed to a more traditional hotel room set up. The room was thoughtfully designed with everything we needed, and very clean. The owner is wonderful and very responsive. We couldn't have chosen a better location, many amazing restaurants and cafes were in short walking distance. We will absolutely be staying at the Lokal again and recommending it to any friends going to Philly.

Could have been better.

The room was attractively decorated and inviting. Netflix didn't work. They looked at tv but couldn't figure out how to connect it to wifi. Said may have to replace, but not during our stay. The mattress was one of the worst in recent memory. Everything rolled to the middle of the bed. Coffee was good tho creamer made clumps.

Fantastic stay and amazing location

First time with Hotel Lokal. Fantastic location and incredibly cool space! Kitchen is spacious and well stocked and bed and room were very comfy. The location is absolutely perfection for all of the Fishtown restaurants. The staff was also very communicative. I will be coming back.

Lokal Hotel Fishtown, Philadelphia

We had a really nice stay at this boutique hotel in the heart of Fishtown, Philadelphia. The location is very convenient, just a short 3-minute walk to restaurants and bars, with parking available right across the street. The room was industrial modern, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that brought in plenty of natural light. It featured a large open kitchen and living area, a high-end entertainment system, and a large shower. There was also plenty of closet space. The room included useful extras like robes, sleeping masks, ear plugs, and makeup removal towels. There is also a courtyard garden in the back with a table for eating outside. The hosts were easy to reach and helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick, and the instructions were clear. We had a very enjoyable stay and have already bookmarked this place as a top choice for future visits. We highly recommend it.

The Lokal Fishtown "Garden Jawn" was such a beautiful, well-designed, elegant, airy and light-filled space. I arrived exhausted from travel and it was the perfect place to refresh and recover. The outdoor garden is a delightful quiet spot, the kitchen is a minimalist masterpiece, and the rainfall shower luxurious and refreshing. The passing El makes a lot of noise, but it quickly just fades into the background. I'll definitely stay at the Lokal again next time I'm in Philly!

Stylish but Train Noise

Lokal is a very stylish and comfortable hotel with one glaring caveat. The hotel is adjacent to the El train. This resulted in constant train noise all night long with the exception of 2-3 overnight hours when the train does not run. I was only able to sleep during those handful of hours. It is just too loud and disruptive. This would be an issue for all rooms facing the El which are the odd numbered rooms. I am not certain if the rooms on the other side of the building would be as loud. Those are the even numbered rooms.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The information emailed from the hotel was extremely complete, which made our arrival very smooth. There is paid parking just a one minute walk up the street. The building is secured with a key pad. The property itself is very lovely- clean, modern, well thought out. There is a beautiful courtyard with a table and chairs. Our room was beautiful, sparkling clean and contained everything we needed for the kitchen. It is just feet away from the train tracks, which does go by regularly, however the room is well soundproofed and it caused no more (actually less) noise than street traffic. If you are sensitive to sound they provide earplugs and also some rooms that do not face the tracks. The only improvement that could be made is that the Expedia listing does not explain the process for this hotel. They have no on site personnel, your room charge is paid 7 days prior to arrival, your checking information is emailed to you- a handy guide to the hotel and area is sent about a week before and your PIN for access to the building and room are sent the day before. If you don’t receive any emails you need to make sure to call the property and give them your email address. I only found out the process because I called them to confirm my reservation. The literally ONLY thing I would suggest they improve about the room itself is to replace the table top ironing board with a full size one. The table top one was a bit cumbersome.
