Great villa and location

Wally was wonderful to work with. He was communicative and helpful before, during, and after our stay. The villa is comfortable, and the small market close by makes it convenient if you want to cook a meal for yourself. It was lovely being able to use the pool, head down to the beach, rinse off in the shower outside, and dry off on the patio.

Loved being beachfront in a location that's close to the action if you want it, yet down the beach enough to be private. Wally was so helpful and knowledgeable he should run the whole complex!

Great location on a gorgeous beach!

My husband, three children and myself stayed at The Villas for four nights and had a wonderful time! Our accomodations were very nice and casual, perfect for our family to relax and unwind. It was incredible to be right on the beach and also to have access to a lovely pool area! Two of the highlights for our family were the outdoor shower and the comfy beds! The living room area was spacious for our family of five. Lastly, the proximity to Front Street and the restaurants was convent and fun.

splendid holidays In the villa on great bay

my family and me sent a villa on great bay for 5 days We had all the necessary for a family of 5 persons with 3 teen-agers We enjoy the vue directly on the beautiful bay , the Sea, the beach just in front of the villa, the proximity of Front Streat Jimmy the manager is very kind and at our service Just a black point : web access is limited We have done shopping, visited the Island etc Great bay is a good base to make all our déplacement

Loved my stay at the Villas at the Great Bay - I 100% will be back !!!!! Wally was always available and answered all questions very promptly- he even will help you with reservations !!! The villa it self was amazing - literally zero complaints - easy to find - easy to navigate- Very close to the boardwalk, but far enough where you have lots of privacy- the villa and the property is very clean and the pool was great as well - I will define back for sure !!! Oh and the preferred rental Company was a BREEZE

Had a wonderful time

My daughter, her husband & myself totally enjoyed ourselves. The property was up to date, comfortable, supplied with everything we could possibly need. The beach area in front of the villa was private & quiet. Pool area & grounds were lovely and enjoyable. Can't say enough good things about Wally. Great Stay In Great Bay

My wife and I stayed in the villas for 9 nights and our only complaint was that we didn't stay long enough! These villas are perfectly located to take short walks into town for shopping and dinner or just relax on the patio and enjoy the day without the hustle and bustle of downtown. They are well equipped with everything you need to enjoy a long stay in Sint Maarten. There is much to see on the island so i highly recommend renting a car which you can park just a few steps from the villas. Our thanks to the property manager James, he made us feel very welcome and his advice was spot on. We will definitely be visiting the villas again in the future!

Perfect spot on the beach

Our stay at Villa in January 2014 was wonderful - great location for walking the beach, people watching and cruise ships. An easy walk to downtown where we discovered yummy restaurants and delightful shopping areas. We had pastries from a local bakery, fresh Gouda cheese, and cooked white fish and shrimp on the furnished barbecue grill. With the perfect weather it was easy to lounge around on the deck drinking coffee in the morning and relaxing with a good book. All of our expectations were met with very hospitable hosts! Do not hesitate to take a taxi tour of the island if you don't want to rent a car. But be sure to take time to soak up the sun and warm weather.

Great Caribbean Getaway

My wife and I spent a week at the Villas for our anniversary, and we could not have been happier. The Villa we stayed in was well equipped and Jim was always available to help with the rare need that did arise. The boardwalk is a 5 minute walk away and offers numerous bars and restaurants to choose from. While we did explore the island a bit, we spent most of our time sitting on the beach outside our door. The two trips we did take to the French Side, were made worry free thanks to James, the driver Jim recommended to us. He was there exactly when he said he would be and his knowledge of the island was entertaining and very useful. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back.

An excellent host

We rented this villa for 3 days in Dec'19. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). We had a great time here. The villa had everything we needed and being right on the beach was pretty convenient. The owner was prompt in his communication throughout the process. But the highlight of the reception is the manager, Wally. He was amazingly helpful and gave us a a great experience throughout. The overall condo complex is lucky to have him as their manager. The only downside is that Philipsburg is pretty dead after the cruise ships leave and you might have to drive out of town for good restaurants during the evenings. But that feedback is more about the town, not about this villa

Best Vacation Ever !

My husband and I have been on 37 cruises.. Just spending a day at St. Maarten each cruise and walking the Great Bay beach so many times. We decided to book it and just returned from a 10 night stay. WE LOVED IT. Truly the best vacation ever !! The Villas are right on a gorgeous beach, absolutely fantastic. Some renovated, some not, but each one has something unique about it. We easily made friends with all the other guests, it was like we had been friends for years. Buses are at your door step $2 each... very safe and great way to see some sights. The most relaxing vacation we have ever had. Not sure anything will compare to vacationing at the Villas in St. Maarten. Cant wait to return !! Special thanks to Jim, the property manager who makes sure that you have everything you need !

Steps from the sand!

Just returned from a stay in Villa #9 after a 30-year hiatus from St Maarten! The villa was wonderful; plenty of room, clean and updated. We loved being so close to the beach! It's so close to the water you can hear the waves without even opening the door. Wally, the property manager, was always very accommodating and friendly. Our one wish was to have the king bed in the room facing the ocean. I'm sure it would be a bit tight in there, but we preferred to wake up to the view, so we snuggled in the queen bed! What would have made our stay better was more activity at night in Philipsburg and along the boardwalk. When the cruise ships are in, however, it's a different story. We liked walking there at night, but sometimes it was a bit dark. All the locals were friendly though! We certainly won't wait another 30 years to return. Thanks Luke and Wally!

We didn't want to leave!

We came to St Maarten because it was our favorite island from our honeymoon cruise and we said we would come back one day. Wish it hadn't taken us 22 years! We were so pleased with the Villas on Great Bay because it is directly on the beach, has a pool, is on one end of the bay for more privacy but you can walk to shopping and restaurants along the boardwalk and Front Street. There is a small grocery that you can easily walk to and a full grocery store a short ride away. Villa #9 is nicely decorated and comfortable. Luca, the owner, was prompt in replying and easy to work with. Wally, the property manager, was a big reason we enjoyed our vacation so much. He was very accommodating and helpful. We felt very safe and comfortable. The property is well lit, fully gated with security and cameras. We cooked some of our meals and dined out, as well. We had planned to rent a car but ended up just grabbing a taxi whenever we needed to go further away. All of our taxi drivers were very personable and informative. We went on a snorkeling excursion, rode horses and rode the zipline. We shopped, ate and relaxed. Everywhere we went, we met such nice and interesting people. This vacation was perfect!

Paradise Found !

From the moment we arrived at this lovely Villa we knew we had picked a really stunning location. This was our first visit to St Maarten having spent the last 30 years discovering the delights of the Caribbean, it is a beautiful Island and well worth the journey from the UK. Everything about the villa was perfect,spotlessly clean,really comfortable beds and lovely soft fluffy towels ! We loved waking up to the views across the turquoise sea and soft white sands watching the Boardwalk come to life if a Cruise ship had docked.Sunbeds wave runners and all sorts of colourful traders would appear from nowhere just far away enough not to disturb this little piece of paradise ,but provide great entertainment St Maarten offers such choice of beautiful beaches & places to visit not to mention shopping and Segway tours down the beach! There is a wide selection of places to eat catering for all budgets and tastes,the larger supermarkets offer a great selection of food at reasonable prices for self catering. We really loved everything about our stay here and would come back in a heartbeat. Thank you Luca for giving us the opportunity of sharing your fabulous holiday home and providing a very professional service. Thanks also to Jim who was a pleasure to meet and good luck to Dan in his new job! To anyone reading this in the UK PLEASE MAKE THE EFFORT TO COME HERE the flight might be a little longer but so worth the effort !!!!!!!!

Beautiful getaway

The villa was perfect for our family of 4 including our teenage daughter and infant son. We were walking distance to great restaurants and markets to pick up food to cook at home. There was a fully equipped kitchen. The property manager was super accommodating with any requests.

Amazing beach condo

The beach just outside the condo doors was amazing. The pool is small but never crowded. The condo was clean, had a well stocked kitchen and comfortable living room and dining areas (inside and out). The condo is at the far end of the complex so the deck area is private and quiet. A charcoal grill is provided if you want to BBQ. The condo is walking distance to groceries, bars and restaurants which was really nice. We initially thought the unit had it's own washer and dryer but we have now clicked further into the amenities listed and see that it does mention that there is a community washer/dryer available for a fee. Overall, we had a lovely vacation. The property manager was very helpful and friendly and the owners were extremely kind and accommodating when we had unexpected changes to our booking prior to arrival.

A slice of paradise

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property and the unit was perfect. We strolled into town each day and loved mingling with the locals. The market across the street was very convenient and their freshly baked breads were fabulous. Wally, the local contact was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back someday.

Overall Great Experience

Probably the most private villa on the property, at the end, so no one walking by your patio, private entrance and shower in the garden breezeway. Very comfortable, had everything we needed, and the owner’s information ahead of the stay gave us great insight into the area before we even got there. Wally the property manager was great and really made sure iur stay was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Vacation

Overall this is a great place to stay. The Villa is in a great location, right on the ocean, and a short walk to the boardwalk in Philipsburg. The only two issues were that the pool was not working properly during our stay, and the beach in front of the property is not cleaned like other areas of beach in Philipsburg. This was not a big deal for us, but is worth mentioning. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Property manager was friendly. The property overall decor and aesthetics were not good and needed updating. The bathroom was the only room that seemed recently updated. The TV was difficult to operate and there was no help with it. The Wi-Fi worked well. The beachfront area was not clean with lots off seaweed. There were dogs barking throughout the night around the property. No umbrellas for outdated beach chairs. Thank goodness for other nearby beaches to visit.

Location, convenience and comfort

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay on St. Martin. The unit is roomy and comfortable and you can’t get any closer to the water. A short walk to Phillipsburg for food and drinks and convenient to other areas of the island. You’ll get a kick out of Wally the property manager. Wally is knowledgeable about the area and was attentive to our needs. The owner, Luca, makes sure that you have everything in the unit you will need for enjoying your stay.
