"This is a modern boutique hotel about two three blocks from the train station. There is a secure gate that requires a code once you check in. The same code is used for the front door as well as your room. We made a mistake of telling the hotel we would be arriving in the early afternoon and then showed up at noon. Because this is a very small hotel (12 rooms, I believe) the front desk is not always staffed - but someone is there. We were caught in the rain trying to get through the gate. Just something to consider. Our room was stylish, fairly large, and quiet despite being on the main drag in Tirano. What really impressed us were the towels. Wow! These towels were so big and fluffy! For such a reasonably-priced hotel you are getting some very nice towels. Breakfast is included and was quite good. Italian hotels tend to make a big effort for breakfast. This hotel wasn't quite up there with some of the hotels in bigger Italian cities, but then those hotels are typically much more expensive. Another plus: the hotel is associated with a restaurant next door. They give you a discount card good for 10% off dinner. Do not pass up this offer. The restaurant is excellent."

"We booked last minute, a family of two adults and two children in a family room. The property is immaculately kept, the staff were wonderful. Friendly, attentive, great with children. The restaurant is high end with a sophisticated menu, and they offered to cater for our children’s palate, and make “any pasta we requested”. It’s a small, intimate property, perfect for a stopover or using as a base to explore. The views are stunning - truly worth the investment. The decor is traditional, but in the lake setting, it’s exactly what you want Can’t recommend highly enough! Thank you for such a beautiful stay 🇮🇹🇬🇧"

"Chef and his daughters were remarkably pleasant. Paola is a saint. Chef’s wife really bailed us out with currency exchange. The restaurant deserves a Michelin star. It’s off the beaten path but if you want true Italian this is it. It’s our second trip and expect we’ll return."
