"We arrived at 8 a.m. after a flight change. I knew our room wouldn’t be ready, check‑in is at 3, but the difference in treatment was unbelievable. The two men ahead of us were greeted warmly, offered bag storage, and invited to enjoy the breakfast area.
When it was our turn, the front desk staff member became instantly rude. He told us our room wouldn’t be ready until late afternoon and didn’t offer to take our bags, we had to ask. He rolled his eyes and sighed like we were bothering him. As women traveling with two kids, the contrast was impossible to ignore.
We asked about coffee and were told we couldn’t enter the breakfast area, even though the men before us were encouraged to go in. Instead, he said he could get us a cup for $2.50. The hostility was unnecessary and uncomfortable.
The “family room” was tiny, and the pull‑out couch had the most uncomfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I’m not picky, but this was genuinely awful.
The only positives were the breakfast and the location near the mall. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families. If you’re a man, you’ll probably be treated better than us.
I have no idea why this hotel is rated “excellent”.
