"Lovely welcome from Pascal, he made sure we knew where everything was and where to go in Pickering for an evening meal, we were then treated to homemade canapés and a glass of fizz! Room was comfortable and we slept well during our stay. We pre ordered our breakfast from a good choice of menu and there were also cereals, fruit, yogurt & juice on our table. Pascal also makes his own sourdough bread which was delicious. Would stay again and maybe book onto one of his sourdough courses!"

"It's a lovely pub with good food. Staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. Lots of different styles of accommodation both within the pub and behind in the grounds. We particularly liked having a garden. Breakfast was really good. Bar staff very attentive. Room was large and bright and comfortable and had everything you needed for a short stay."
