We stayed for 7 nights at Lock Cottage and enjoyed the very peaceful location. Accommodation was perfect and well equipped. Located very close to the North York Moors Railway station at Levisham and within easy reach of the coast and the moors. Highly reccommended - thank you.
Lock Cottage is simply but comfortably furnished and very roomy. It is situated on a quiet and attractive street. The only downside was the shower being in the bath which wasn’t obvious from the photos and it’s something we try to avoid as we find them difficult to get in and out of. Nearby is Levisham which has a very attractive pub, The Horseshoe, as well as Levisham station where you can watch the steam trains on their way through between Pickering and Whitby.
the cottage was just what we wanted. it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. the cottage was also in a great location for visiting so many local attractionshighly recommend.
Perfect location, very quiet setting yet close to all you could wish for. We’ve spend an amazing week here and left with very fond memories. Owner is extremely helpful and quick to respond to inquiries. 10 out of 10!
This is an excellent cottage in the lovely little village of Lockton. Perfect location for visiting Whitby and the gorgeous bays along the coast. The cottage has been furnished to a very high standard, and is extremely comfortable and well equipped. We are a family of 6 adults, and all agreed this is one we can highly recommend!!
Newly refurbished stylish cottage in peaceful village of Lockton which has a great tearoom. The ten year olds loved the games room. Nearby Pickering was lovely and a stunning drive over the moors to Whitby. Also 30 minutes from Scarborough.
The cottage has been recently renovated and equipped to the very highest standard - with modern fittings, plush carpets and nice furniture. There are also some small touches that really elevate it, such as little boxes for different types of coffee pods and tea.
The village of Lockton is postcode perfect with an elegant coffee shop just round the corner of the cottage. So many things to do we hardly scratched the surface. Definitely worth taking a steam train ride from the neighbouring village of Levisham to Grosmont and back.
Lovely property, very well appointed in a quiet location. Spacious for 5 adults, would also suit families. Ideal for exploring coast and country with lots of amenities nearby.
Would definitely recommend.
Lock Cottage is larger than the pictures denote, and provided the perfect base for our short stay. The furniture and furnishings are immaculate and tastefull, the kitchen was well equipped, plenty of parking outside the property, perfect location - 30 mins to Whitby , 10 mins to Pickering and a 5 min drive to Levisham to the pub ! I have no hesitation in recommending this property and Helen has been in contact through out the booking with helpful tips and relevant information.
