"This is an absolutely wonderful property located outside the busy town center of Bourges but within walking distance. It is a beautiful home run by the family with 4 nicely appointed and cozy rooms upstairs. Parking on site and breakfast and a nice coffee and pastry salon round this wonderful place out."

As it was Bastille Day they had a local celebratory one off meal on a day when the restaurant was usually closed, and we were invited to join them as guests. "This hotel is beautifil from the outside but unfortunately really outdated inside. The room felt really sterile- almost felt that i was in a hospital, except it really wasnt that clean. The restaurant staff were amazing though."

However the croissants were huge and amazing. The woman who checked me in was kind and accommodating. But the male staff at breakfast was standoffish and not warm or welcoming. The grounds could use some more landscaping befitting of a chateau."
