For a 360 degrees view one has to climb up the Cross.  My knees were sore so I didn't do it. The alternative lift was not working at the time we visited.

Mt. Samat is a historic mountain in the town of Pilar, Province of Bataan, Philippines. Located near its summit is the Mount National Shrine, a national shrine dedicated to the fallen Filipino and American fallen during World War II.
