"The outside of the hotel needs some attention. The broken concrete step outside is still in need of repair, just like a year ago when we were there. shrubs etc need trimming. Hotel was very quiet, clean, decent breakfast, delicious coffee"

Location couldn’t have been better we were close to restaurants and groceries and even though the weather kept us off Houghton Lake there were other lakes close by that we were able to fish. Would highly recommend both this cabin and the area itself."

"It was very clean and cozy. The weather was still cold to catch any fish so we stayed in more than planned. Located in a convenient spot. Close to restaurants and party store. Just over an hour to Traverse city. Not too far for groceries. Only could stay 3 nights. Communication from owners A. My husband made a good choice for our short getaway. Close to the lake and a marina. I would go back here. "
