From here, an early railway (the Mansfield and Pinxton) was opened in 1819 to connect Mansfield with the canal system. Tickets to travel on the horse drawn line could be bought at the Boat Inn. Hotel was lovely and the beds were comfortable. Really pleasant staff and would recommend the hotel. However wasn’t a fan of 5 WhatsApp messages plus Expedia messages from them think it was a bit too much. Apart from that everything else was great

Pretty hotel. We had a wonderful stay in room 121. The suite had a beautiful 4 poster and the bathroom a huge roll top bath. We visited the spa and had an excellent breakfast. Lovely stay. Will return.
