Le Tahiti by Pearl Resorts
5/5 Excellent
"Upon arrival, the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. Our room and the view were beautiful. The only minor complaint is that our booking mentioned a mini fridge, but there wasn’t one in the room. When I asked the front desk, they explained they were waiting on a shipment and had none available. Since we stayed for eight nights, it was challenging to manage without a fridge, so we had to purchase an ice chest to keep our drinks cold.
I highly recommend booking taxi rides in advance through the front desk if you plan to go out and about. We often waited between 45 minutes to an hour for taxis.
The hotel only provides one bottle of water per day, and the drinking fountains were broken. However, the hotel restaurant was kind enough to fill up our bottles when we asked. The hotel itself is very nice, though it could use some upgrades. The pool, for instance, looks a bit outdated and needs some maintenance, though it was kept very clean. If you don’t get a room with laundry machines, there is only laundry service which is very expensive.
The food at both the main restaurant and the bar was excellent! I also recommend exploring other islands like Moorea and Bora Bora instead of staying just in Tahiti. If you are like us and have a late departure home, the late checkout is based upon availability. So, you could find yourself having to checkout at 11 and stuck waiting around. The airport is small.
The locals are incredibly friendly, and overall, it was a wonderful experience."
