"Only 3 months old, everything was new, modern and clean. But the service and meals were exceptional. Full breakfast with creative list of eggs Benedict style options including a local one. The 3 course dinners also included local fare and were excellent. Also full bar with local made schnapps and extensive list of fantastic Slovenian wines. The service was also very efficient, relaxed and friendly so that we could engage the staff in conversation. The setting is a beautiful green farm village next to the local church and a bell tower that pealed throughout the day )but not all night). Hotel is in Sgornje Gorje, a short hike downhill to Lake Bled but far from the crowds around the lake. We were able to hike down to and around Lake Bled and up to the castle and back up to hotel. The area is green, hilly, surrounded by the alps and the sounds of active farms. Very picturesque. "

"What a special place!! You get the old world ambiance and amazing location and then you open your room door to a sleek and perfect interior. You simply cannot get a better location, directly across the street from the lake with full view of the castle and instant access to the lively 3.5 mile walking path. Then there is the generous and varied breakfast in a pretty little dining room — with accommodations made, on request, for gluten-free and lactose-free items. I know I sound like I’m gushing, but we were so pleased with our stay we wanted to encourage others to come. One down-side for us was the bed— while a generous queen-plus size— was much firmer than we were accustomed to, but that wasn’t a huge deal as we were only there 2nights. Parking on-site isn’t free but it is a great asset in this often jam-packed town "

"This was an excellent hostel. Lake view, walkable to town, free parking. Rentals and adventure activities right from the hostel. Nice staff. Bar and restaurant in the hostel. Met some amazing people and had some amazing adventures. Beds were surprisingly comfy. Free breakfast! "

"A beautiful, spacious property - well managed and mostly very clean considering it’s a place that accepts pets. Small but very well-maintained pool - great for a quick dip to cool off in September heat. Elegant decor but lots of traditional charm too… Well equipped for our party of five adults. A very friendly host - on hand but discreet - and a wealth of local information on offer from owners. The location is amazing and the surrounding area very beautiful - trains to Lake Bled from the tiny un-manned station opposite - slightly scary roads, but only what you’d expect from a rural property in a semi-mountainous area. Great wildlife and a beautiful waterfall a shortish walk from the house. No hesitation in recommending!"
