"Beautiful hotel right in the center of old town Munich. The Marionplatz and the Hofbrau Haus were within a block or two away. On check-in, the desk was a bit confused because we were a group of four couples. I had booked two rooms and my sister-in-law had booked two. When asked if we'd like to be on the same floor we said that yes that would be nice. Two of our group were placed on the same floor and two were placed on other floors. This was fine but the difference in rooms, which we all had classic queen rooms, was disappointing. Two rooms were very large with plenty of space for luggage and getting around the room. Our room was much smaller but updated with a beautiful bathroom but little space for suitcases. My sister and her husband were on the 4th floor in a tiny older looking room which was stuffy and stale smelling and even smaller than the room my husband and I were in. All 4 rooms were the same price. The blower to the air conditioning did not have enough power to take the stuffiness out of the air and we had to open our window for fresh air. Not sure how this would be in the heat of summer. That being said, the room was immaculate. The ladies at the desk were kind and full of great suggestions. The older male staff were very businessike and got the job done, common for Europe. Breakfast was delicious with a huge assortment of everything and was very much worth the price. The bar in the lobby was always packed with people and seemed very popular."
"Convenient to Train station and also rental car drop off since we drove into Munich. Easy to walk to old town and all the museums. Room was a little small, but it was a corner room and the door hallway probably made it seem smaller. Comfortable bed, nice shower.
If you skip room cleaning they give you a 10 Euro voucher for the bar.
Offered dining suggestions. Italian place around corner was very good. Lowenbrau beer hall is also pretty close. Most of the closest dining looked like small counter service places of various ethnic specialties.
The street noise from the Tram line in front of the hotel can be a little distracting. The other Kings hotel over a block might be quieter."
"The hotel is in a very convenient location for transport, and eateries. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good but a bit pricy."
