"10 out of 5 stars! This was hands-down the best VRBO experience I have ever had! The Farmhouse Cottage at Old Pine Retreats is absolutely stunning—the home, the setting, and the views are even better than the pictures.The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, and had everything we could possibly need and so much more. It was incredibly quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. We felt like we were tucked away in the middle of nowhere, yet it was so convenient and close to town—the absolute best of both worlds.Our host was wonderful—kind, welcoming, and extremely communicative from beginning to end.I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. We didn’t want to leave! We will come back every chance we get. If I could give it 10 stars, I absolutely would!"

"Rick is an awesome host. He’s very kind and friendly. Like a part of your family. The location of cabin was amazing. So peaceful and quiet and beautiful area. We loved every second we were there. The cabin is cozy and nice. Front porch with grill and gas fireplace which was wonderful with the cool nights. I would absolutely recommend to any and everyone who loves the outdoors and staying on the grid "

"Great communication from Sheyenne. Plenty of room to park our teardrop trailer and spread out for a couple of days. Key entry would have been fine if I had slowed down to read specifics, however Sheyenne was at a neighboring site and patiently assisted! We will definitely book again next time we are on this route!"

"This was a wonderful home for our large family to gather and enjoy a few hot summer days together! Plenty of space for everyone and lots of things to do. The game room was great for getting a break from the heat and sun and just having fun but there’s no question the big hit of our stay was the swimming pool. The location is perfect with a view of Elmo State Park and the lake right across the street, with shopping and conveniences within a few minutes drive. The appliances and kitchen space were nice. The only downside was the master bedroom and bath (top level) were pretty outdated and lacked privacy, with the layout of an open loft over the living room. Kind of cool and different, but not an enjoyable space to shower and get ready for the day, in our opinion. Overall, would definitely recommend this rental as a great gathering place and getaway for a larger group or family. The fun time we spent playing in the pool and hanging out on the patio area made the whole trip!"
