"Peaceful but too isolated"

"We were in two rooms below ground level, which were quiet, but no airflow. One room had a shower that was too small for an adult. They were clean and relatively comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was pastry and yogurt. We were able to park in one of the garages, otherwise, parking could be difficult. The location is awesome - very hard to find initially - it looks like it’s impossible to get to, but once you know, you know. Guessing that their other rooms may be nicer."

"The room was very nice and clean. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Giovanni helped me with transportation around Sala Consilina to see the town center and the sights in the area. He also helped me get to Teggiano for my stay there. Wonderful people!"

"I liked the look of the Marchesina Hotel. Very spacious, easy flow, lots of areas to sit, Our particular room, a little needy for traveling tourists with suitcases and places to hang toiletrybag, towels. I would say a little upgrade is needed in respect to tourists needs in a oom."

"Mitten in historischer Altstadt. Gut für Globetrotter, schlecht mit Fahrzeug. Wir hatten ein muffiges Erdgeschosszimmer, kleines Fenster für Luft, aber kaum Licht. Wollten extra "Übernachtungs-Tax" abrechnen. Null Englischenntnis."

Potenza is a lovely little town with all kinds of bars and restaurants where you will meet interesting, friendly people. I would post photos but they say they are too big. Get with the program hotes.com The hotel is close to everything you need without having to walk for more than a few minutes and has few tourists. "in 44 years of traveling around the world this was the worse and demeaning Hotel experience ever had( payment was made in advance BTW )! i cannot say anything about the accommodations because i never made it in!!! After an exhausting and temultuous trip to Potenza , my only concern was checking in , resting down my heavy luggage and preparing etc etc! however when i approached the door and tried to enter , there was no response or answer, i also tried to call a dozen times to no response! So...
